Lung cancer is hard to treat. He has to check with his oncologist whether the cancer has metasized and spread to other regions of the body. He has to consult his oncologist. We do not know which stage his lung cancer is at, so we cannot give a comment. The doctor has to do CT scan and maybe MRI scans on his lungs and do biopsies on his lung to give a more definite answer.
There are many cancer survivors. Ask him whether he wants prayer from a church. If he is interested, you can contact a United Pentecostal Church www.upci.org and ask for prayer. Miracles in the name of Jesus have occurred.

……DO not think anything about that.It is like a 50% thing.Plus there are lots of branches of cancer he will be I think fine. And if he survives(he mostly will)then he will get kemotherapy mostly so then he will be subjected to a lazer hitting him on the spot killing the cancer cells but also some of the good cells. So mostly he will proboly be weak and sick after it is done for about 2-5 weaks.
The third highest type of cancer per the American Cancer Society is respiratory or lung cancer with app. 230,000 cases a year.Men have a slightly higher rate than women with lung cancer at 213,000. (115,000 versus 98,000). He’s very young to get it but I don’t really know his history well, especially what his treatment was before (surgery, chemo, &/or radiation?). and if he was a smoker, alcohol or drug user, or was the type of kid who did none of these & wasn’t exposed to second hand smoke. If he had all of the mentioned treatments & followed the doctors protocol, he might need further treatments & chemo for another stretch. It all will depend on what his MRIs & lab work show. He has a young age which is good for him but a recurrence could be ominous. He needs to talk to his doctor to find out what treatment he will need. If there is metastasis to either brain, spine or intestine, that is a poor prognosis & could mean only 6 months or less (typical prognosis for lung cancer) ..Stay by his side & offer your support to him & the family. But it all depends on what the doctor says. God bless.
