Question by goodwheelgirl: Survival rate inoperable stage 3 lung cancer? My 72-year-old grandmother has been diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer. The doctor says it is inoperable. She began radiation therapy this week (so far they have not said anything about chemo) she has been a smoker since the 1950′s and is currently still smoking. What are her chances of survival.
