i have popcorn ceiling and got it tested for asbestos today. they said it takes 48 hours for the results to come back. the guy that scraped off the samples covered the area with duct tape when he was done. the tape is starting to fall off…is that dangerous? should i just leave it alone ?

just spray it with a little waterlet it dry it will be ok

The area that he would have tested is very small and it is highly unlikely that the asbestos fibres that are bind in to the material will come loose. It is when the popcorn ceiling is scraped during removal that poses more of a health threat. Because during vigorous scraping – the asbestos fibres are released in to the air and the person scraping the ceiling is very likely to inhale them. I suggest that you do not try and re-tape the loose areas. Just wait for the results.
