Answer by Wilton P There are people who smoke their entire adult lives and don’t get lung cancer. It’s not possible to say what your chances are, based on the three years of smoking. There are other factors that can’t be predicted.

Four people in my family have been smoking for over half of their life, it’s not that big of a chance for 3 years. Then again, it varies on factors like what kind of cigarettes they were (lights, regular, 100s, etc), what brand they were, how many packs a day you smoked, etc.
personally i think there is a good chance u will. U have been smoking for three years u have already damaged ur lungs ask ur doctor if there is anyway u could pervent getting lung cancer or hold it off for a while
3 years is after all not a lifetime…so although it did leave a small mark on you, the chances of lung cancer should have increased less than 10%
It also depends on how much you were smoking during those years. If it was under 10 cigarettes per day, you should be good.
Congrads for quitting!!!

More than if You never smoked. However, if You have quit, the chance of You getting cancer from it gets slimmer every day.
