Over the summer my family and I moved into a 125 year old home. Which isn’t really very interesting, however, soon thereafter we began hearing odd things and seeing even more peculiar things. We are a very reality/scientific/fact based family. However, these occurrences are to a point that we can no longer deny, or justify them. A few of them are; my son and I were sitting on the sofa, he was watching a program, I was on the laptop. I saw a spectacular light display form on the hallway wall. This was in an area that does not have a window, or light source. The lights looked like sunlight glistening on the sea; it was white/silver about 3 feet in diameter and about 2 feet from the floor. It was present for about 45 seconds then disappeared. I said nothing, thinking that perhaps I had just gone insane. A few moments later my teenage son asked “did you happen to see that?”
When we first moved in, before we had definitively assigned bedrooms, I was sleeping in a second floor room and during the night I awoke twice to the closet light on and the door open. I was certain the light was off and door closed before I went to sleep. My 12 year old daughter has also reported a women singing in her ear. She refuses to sleep alone, or even go into the bathroom without someone accompanying her. We can hear someone running in the second floor hallway when no one is upstairs. Lights turn on by themselves, it sounds as if bowling balls are being dropped on the floor above us (no one is there). Strange shadows, catching glimpses of people from the corner of our eyes. Even our dog refuses to be in a room alone.
I have attempted to research the house, but have found absolutely nothing. I have even tried to consult an area spiritualist (suddenly our phone became very staticy and the battery died. Which hasn’t happened prior or since).
We are not believers in the paranormal per se, but we are perplexed. We have even had our furnace tested for carbon monoxide, mold and asbestos (as we thought perhaps it may be hallucinations due to one of these in the structure..nope) Any tips or ideas on how to handle this is appreciated.
Interesting remarks. Just to elaborate; we are not looking for religious conversion, nor are we seeking asinine nonsensical comments. We simply would like cognizant input.

Why are you afraid? Whatever it is hasn’t harmed anyone, and is simply and unknown phenomenon. I don’t have enough evidence to be able to make anything more than a foolish guess (that won’t stop most people tough!)
That’s really interesting! Do you get a bad vibe at all in the house, like you feel unsafe?
I would try to contact someone again that could maybe come into your house that works with that kind of stuff.
You could also put up some cameras to see if you catch anything.

But I did catch the words “area spiritualist” which let me know you’re ridiculously out of touch with real life.

Since you have experienced quite a few of these events, I would guess that you have a genuine paranormal experience. These entities will not usually hurt you but they will feed on your emotional reaction to them. It is best to just ignore them and they will find something else to do.
Get a preacher in there to cast out the demons and bless the house with holly water.

They usually say don’t be afraid of it try and take a Bible and walk around the house with it and recite certain scriptures from it. Make sure everyone in the house in closely together so no one get hurt. if it seem that whatever it is is getting uneasy stop. ( That’s if you feeling uneasy), if that doesn’t works move out don’t waste any more time.
You are Amazing you and your family;;; the research you have been doing is just that, and has been done by God through His children since the Garden of Eden! The gathering has begun and The mystery finished Rev:10:7 – Rev:1:18 Rev:21:4 and the gathering for inheritance has begun…contact page is for questions…the filth hates being known of, which lives in every home, but more so in some, so it will either leave by your knowing, or attack by your knowing…it has begun….

You are experiencing supernatural events..a haunting if you will. It’s a little difficult to not bring a spiritual aspect into this because these events are spiritual. Ghosts are spirits in bondage, some have no idea where they are or why..no paranormal expert or medium can send them to the ‘light’, they are trapped and will remain so. If something is frightening, to even the dog, then this is not what is called a good energy. If the home has no history that you know of, and if things such as these have not ever occurred to you or your family, then continue to research the homes underpinnings. Something is there..something happened. Many times families have just decided to up and move under these circumstances. In my opinion you need your home blessed, these entities or energies do not just leave. Good luck and God bless.
