INQUEST: Industrial disease killed man
A MAN who was exposed to asbestos during the Second World War died from an industrial disease.
An inquest was held at Stamford Town Hall into the death of Cyril Stoneman (79) of North Road, Bourne.
Mr Stoneman, who died on August 10, had worked at an ordnance depot in Chilwell, near Nottingham, during the war.
Mr Stoneman’s son, Peter, told the hearing his aunt had also worked at the factory, and had told him there was asbestos in use at the site.
