My cat got a tooth extraction about 3 weeks ago. After he wasn’t doing so great. We took him back to the vet and fluid had filled his chest. They gave us medicine to make that go away.
About a week went by and he wasn’t eating. He has been loosing weight since the tooth extraction. We took him to a different vet to get a different opinion. They said the fluid was constricting his breating. They drained the fluid.
The fluid was clear and watery. They tested it and they came up with the possibility of Cancer, Heart Disease, or FIP. But it’s just weird because he has never shown any signs of these BEFORE the surgery on his teeth.
He now has a ok appetite. He goes outside. He is slowly gaining weight back and his breating seems alright.
Now I just want any input. PLEASE!

I can’t see how a tooth extraction has to do with it, unless the cat got a severe infection and developed pneumonia.
Sometimes, it is best to leave a not-so-bad tooth alone, if it risks complications.
Do NOT ever go back to the 1st vet, obviously he botched up plus did not deliver good aftercare.
* The tests the 2nd vet took, could have possibly be a false positive,.. just nurse the kitty with lots of nutrition, love and TLC and wait 6 mths.,.. you may want another test done.

After removing a carpet we found lino – under lino we found old asbestos tiles.
Once we removed the tile – most of it it left a black residue – possibly adhesive. Under these tiles was a solid brick floor. House is circa 1750. I would love to remove this black stuff to return the floor to its original state. I have tried a steamer which did the trick with the bulk of the problem.
I have now tried soda crystals. I have got a window scraper and am going to try wire wool and detergent. If anyone has any advice i would be grateful.
