The damp clothing and cardboard signs wet with rain are also breeding grounds for mold. Some protesters are urinating in bottles and leaving food trash discarded throughout the campground, providing further opportunities for nastiness.
“Pretty much everything here is a good way to get sick,” Salvatore Cipolla, 23, from Long Island, told the Times. “It’ll definitely thin the herd.”
Some protesters have refused free flu shots, citing a “government conspiracy,” the Times said.
There is also the increased risk among the encampment of sexually transmitted diseases, said the doctor, Dr. Philip M. Tierno, Jr. of the NYU Langone Medical Center. And the site’s pounding circles could lead to hearing damage.
Tierno compared conditions at the park to the pilgrimage to Mecca, in which entire groups of people have come down with respiratory infections in short period of time, and the communal compounds of the 1960s where sanitation problems and STDs cropped up.
The health department has visited the site and is monitoring.
“It should go without saying that lots of people sleeping outside in a park as we head toward winter is not an ideal situation for anyone’s health,” the department said in a statement.”
We already know that the protesters are not the most practical people around, so I believe they might actually disregard the health conditions and carry on, which is nice as swell for holding up a strong image. But I can see some really bad epidemics spreading out pending on how this disperses and how far it goes. While the city is trying to clean up after them, it is still very hard to do so. The occupiers are losing ground with this method, there are other ways to protest, and for the safety and costs to us all, I’d think it best if they found these alternative methods.

Cancer is not common in teens or people in their 20s and teenagers are not men.
Sounds like a homework question to me and yet another where the teacher is wrong…..happens all the time.
EDIT: Testicular cancer is an uncommon cancer in anyone, but is most likely to occur between the ages of 20-40. There are an average of 470 cases each year in males under 20. Not a big risk or very common.

Dont look things up on the internet. You will get so much misguided information. I sure hope it’s not cancer, but if it is, it’s not hopeless, especially if it is in early stages.
My son 11 was diagnosed with non hodgkins lymphoma, stage one. He underwent three rounds of chemo and IT therapy. He is fine now. He lost some of his hair but now it’s back all curls which he never had before. He’s ok for now and hopefully always will be.
A biopsy is really the only way to “type” what it is and if it’s cancer, the type of cancer it is has to be known in order that they can put you on the right treatment.
I hope it’s very early stages and that you won’t have to go through a long treatment protocol. Lymphomas are very curable if caught early. Best of luck to you.
Stay strong, a good positive attitude is the most important thing. My son was stronger than all the adults around him and got us through. I’ve met dozens of wonderful kids and so many families since, and honestly, you will be surprised by the great number of people who will offer their support and maybe also discover who your friends really are and aren’t at times like these.
I really hope that it’s not cancer but if it is, remember not to let it devestate you. You can beat it. I know many kids who have.
