Marijuana a Gateway Drug? My arse. *blowing reefer smoke in the face of ignorance*
Pot hasn’t led me to hard drugs, nor makes me crave alcohol or cigarettes, which kill countless people. Cannabis is used to cure cancer, kill pain, ease mental anxiety, heal intestinal ailments and help prevent blindness from glaucoma. The biggest gateway to substances has been my own curiosity. I am accountable. People who blame pot on using hard drugs also blame their friends if they become an alcoholic. These are people with a low sense of who are they are and cave in easy to peer pressure in general Legalizing weed for recreational use as well as medical use will not increase drug use in the same way making alcohol illegal in the days of prohibition only made its use increase. People will use what they want to use whether it is legal or not. Doctors who prescribe cannabis for medicinal use have seen cases of paranoia decrease once cannabis use was legalized, therefore removing fear of arrest and snuffing out the stigma of its use. People who do not worry about what others think tend to be less paranoid in general. Ganja used to be prescribed by doctors until the early 1930s. It was well known for its potent ability to kill pain, foster a sense of well being and ease anxiety. The body actually produces cannabinoids and is apart of the endocrine system helping regulate metabolism, create a sense of well being and help balance the fertility system. This is called your endocannabinoid system. There have been no documented cases of death due to marijuana use from the herb …
Q&A: Sleeping with fan on blowing at you all night will make you have lung problems?
Question by Sanh L: Sleeping with fan on blowing at you all night will make you have lung problems?
My parents said that a “doctor” said that if you sleep with the fan at you all night will make you have lung problems, and closing the window with the fan on will make it worse. Is this true? Do you get any sickness or anything if you have the fan on?

Answer by Sheepdog
I do this every night, and I have no problems with my lungs. Been doing it for about 27 years.
Any doctor who says that sleeping in a breeze–manmade or natural–will, make you sick, shouldn’t be allowed to apply a Band-Aid, much less practice medicine.
The only conceivable situations where a fan *might* cause you problems are if you never clean your fan, or dust your furniture, and it’s blowing dust into your face, or if you have allergies to pollen, and are using it to bring outside air into your room when the pollen count is high. Also, some people do have a tendency to “dry out” if they have a fan blowing on them while they sleep–but if it doesn’t bother you now, it won’t cause you any problems in the long run, either.

Ask the doctor what is going on. It’s probably just a side effect of the med that they have her on.

Blowing Car Brakes, Harmful?
Question by Gopher: Blowing Car Brakes, Harmful?
I have a 2000 Honda Accord, and today I used a blower to clean it, even the wheels. After I used the blower on the wheels, I realized that I could be blowing brake dust off the wheels and disc calipers and that this brake dust could be asbestos.
Am I at any risk for asbestos exposure since I use the blower outside?
I know I worry way too much, but I have no clue what my limits are.

Answer by Theneelster
They don’t put asbestos in brake pads anymore…even in raybestos brand pads.
Using a “blower” (you mean leaf blower I assume) to clean your brakes isn’t going to do anything damaging and probably won’t do anything at all.

No it is stable for many years unless it is broken, cut or ground.
It is very safe when painted over.
No way I can think of to detect it except microscope examination for fibers – highly unlikely.

I think you need to be exposed for longer than 3 hours for it to do any real damage. you should be fine but if you still have concerns, i would go to the doctor for a second opinion.
