I’m so sorry I lost my mom to cancer in December of 2009 right before Christmas. It was a short 10 month battle.Talk to someone a friend, a trusted adult, school counselor, a parent. Spend time with your aunt and tell her how much you love her. I’m so sorry about your Aunt.

lol you do some real research! no you! i’m just here for open minded opinions you didn’t even state why they want it legalized. what is false hope? how do you know till you’ve tried it? has anyone had experience out there? probably not because the likelyhood of someone coming in contact with this oil is not very good. if you were to have to buy a lb from a drug dealer(what choice have you?) to make an ounce(a month supply) it would cost about 4,500$ . there is no government research on this specific treatment. go ahead, spend your money on chemical drugs that have been around for ten years, but maybe, just maybe there is a possibility that one which has been around ten thousand years works better. They don’t make their big money off this one so why legalize it? why even do a study on it when some of the ones they have done are proving them wrong. money is power. are you going to believe everything society tells you? use your brain, love each other, and do your own research

I finally gave in and watched it. It tell me nothing other than these people want mj legalized and are spreading hope that has not been scientifically proven. Again, there is REAL research out there nd you tube is not a reliable source for anything. There is also a synthetic thc that is identical to the thc in real marijuana that has a LOT of studies. Some of them might surprise you. Do some real research or get off this board.

Really any cancer that has been in the body growing for a long time is the worst. It has a bigger chance of spreading to the bones. That is why early detection of any cancer can save a life.
It is bad when it gets in the bones. If a cancer is malignant( which means it can spread), that is bad, because if it is removed it can still grow back. Also, it can spread to another part of the body.

My mother has stage III breast cancer. I wanted to take her to Tata Memorial Center in Mumbai but I hear it’s a lot of hassle and the waiting list is very long. I have the following hospitals in mind: 1. CMC, Vellore 2. Apollo hospitals, Chennai 3. Adyar Cancer Institute, Chennai 4. Dharamshila Cancer Foundation and Research Center, New Delhi. Can you please tell me which of these is the best option? I’m really worried about my mom, and I want to act before it’s too late. Thanks in advance.

This is way out of my field, but I did find this link hope it’s of use, im sorry for your mother, there might be a chance to get on a drugs treatment program with one of the big companies, but you will need a doctor to recommend you.

My little sister was diagnosed with Esophageal Cancer in Nov. 2009. They told us that it was stage III and we decided to take an aggressive approach. She took Chemo, and Radiation and then was going to have surgery to where they would remove part of her esophagus and the top part of her stomach. Common procedure for this type of cancer. On March 12th, they took her in for surgery and found that the tumor was also outside the esophagus and attached to her pancreas, the aorta and surrounding tissue. I work in the medical field and all the research that I have done has talked about the tumor metastasizing to the liver, lungs or the lymph nodes. When the doctor told me about the pancreas I wasn’t to concerned, because of the tx that they do for pancreatic cancer, but i have no clue if there is a tx option for someone whose cancer has metastasized to the aorta. So, I was wondering if anyone could give me any kind of tx options that the doctors haven’t already given, which is chemo and it is basically to slow down the growth of the tumor.

Trillions of dollars have been raised/spent to fight cancer over the last…, 100 years, and with today’s medical minds, you tell me that it is still killing people at an alarming rate. Is it because the drug companies want us to keep buying their drugs? Do drugs really expire? How can a dry pwder locked in a coated capsule, expire? I think that it is all bupkiss! Milk, eggs, meat,vegetables, sure I get that part…, but pills that expire? Maybe they just get weaker after time, but I doubt they rarely get totally worthless. Seems the perfect way to get patients to pay that co-pay again.
There are super intelligent people everywhere in this great world of ours. People with the determination to not let anything stop them. Man on the moon, in the ocean, splitting the atom, making Starbucks the best Franchise available…, but we can’t kill CANCER??? The medical field would rather bombard your body with radiation, or cut the cancer out(if they can) & send you home to die a painful death.

My husband has been diagnosed with stage 4 renal cell carcinoma in his lungs.
He is currently taking Sutent.
I would like to know what to expect. Is he going to be cured? Is he going to die? How long does he have? How likely is this to spread to the brain? The liver? His bones?
His oncologist has been very evasive and my husband does not want to know.

You don’t want answers to this question from random people out on the internet. Not at all. Demand answers from the oncologist. This is your husband’s life at stake. If he doesn’t have all of the answers, press for likely scenarios and options. Don’t give up and don’t give in until you are satisfied. Doctors are not God, and they are working for your husband. Even if your husband doesn’t want to know, he needs an advocate to get through this, and it is you. Best of luck.

Went to the hospital because I was having trouble breathing and sharp pain when I took a deep breath. They did a chest x-ray and it came back with a mass. I also had blood work hasn’t come back yet. There was also blood in my urine. The doctor there said she didn’t know what it was because I’ve had no symptom’s for pneumonia. I went to see my family doctor and she said my lungs sound clear but they did another chest x-ray. Also my lungs sounded clear at the hospital.
So I’m worried any advice.
I have asked my doc these question and because I just saw her today I have no answere. I was just looking for some insite. The mass was about the size of and averge fist. Also they are treating it as an infection but there not sure if that is what is cuz the blood work hasn’t come back yet.

Depends on what the “mass” is and if it is in your lungs or in the chest cavity. My mom had lung cancer for 10 years. She never smoked so that took us by surprise. It wasn’t the original tumor that killed her as that was removed.
If you’re concerned tell your doctor. My mom had her cancer diagnosed by a biopsy (took 12 samples of lung tissue). Blood in the urine is not related to your lungs.
Best to wait on the test results and blood work to come back.
