How do I stop caring?

Question by Aurora_Rose_Maree: How do I stop caring?
There’s this guy I like… alot!!! But he’s kind of a player. I’ve known him since the 6th grade. I know he’s messing with me because he says he doesn’t like me like that, and then he flirts. Whenever someone asks me out & I say yes, he makes fun of them. I told him that I wouldn’t go out with anyone until he makes up his mind… personally, I don’t really like going out with anyone because it feels wrong. I like him, and I feel like I’m doing wrong when I’m with a guy and thinking of him… so I’m waiting.
He’s sick now with 7 different diseases… including cancer (one rare) and lung disease… I don’t remember the rest. I worry about him alot, but he hasn’t written me back. He’s too sick to go to school.
What should I do? I like him alot. He likes everything I do, we have so much In common. People are starting to think that I’m a lezbian because I won’t go out with anyone else, but I want the guy I like. I don’t want to go out with someone, and hope I fall in love. What do I do?

go to his hospital and support him..
If you want to stop liking him, find another guy that might make you feel happy and arent scared to let you know he loves you.

Question by ☮Jacob Black Rules☮: EASY 10 P!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How caring are you????
My Dear friend lost his Granddad to Lung cancer. They had a very close relationship. He entered the boysscout contest to pay tribute to his G’dad. Would you go to this site and vote for his video? http://boyslife.upickem.net/engine/Votes… There are many there..so if you will look for the one that says My Gdads workshop it would be greatly appreciated. It is a black screen at first because he doesn’t have any fancy equipment. But this would be a good deed on your part…because it honestly comes from his heart!!! Thanks for all who do this. Thank you This is a survey to see how many people are actually willing to help a kid out….I hope you do. Thanks

Instead of caring about this Mosque being built shouldn’t we focus our concern on…?

Question by Tommy B: Instead of caring about this Mosque being built shouldn’t we focus our concern on…?
The 9/11 first responders who risked their lives and health to save their fellow humans and now have been plagued with lung diseases and other types of medical problems. All the while we don’t do anything to help them. These people are dying at young ages and we don’t even pay for their health insurance? What kind of Country are we to let our heroes suffer. Same goes for war veterans. GW cut funding dramatcally for Walter Reed veterans hospital just a short while after the war in Iraq started. How can we be concerned over a Mosque when people are suffering and dying out there? Not just to blame Bush, the Dems are the ones who crapped up a bill that would help the 9/11 heroes. America is a country founded on FREEDOM OF SPEECH AND FREEDOM OF RELIGION. Start acting like it you lunatics.

Caring For The Elderly: Senior Illnesses And What They Mean To You

Article by Careplacementservices

As we get older, we all become more susceptible to illnesses, diseases and ailments that may render us incapacitated in some way, shape or form. In some cases we may not even recover from them. It is a sad fact, but we will all eventually shake hands with the very thing that is going to kill us. However, that is not to say that all senior illnesses are incurable. In fact, there are very few that are untreatable. If you happen to be a caregiver and look after a senior on a daily basis, then there are various diseases that you may actually come into contact with and learn how to cope with via that individual. It can be difficult watching someone you care about succumb to illness at any age, but with seniors it is inevitable. A little bit of background knowledge can help to prepare you for the worst, so here is a quick guide to senior illnesses:

CANCER – Over two thirds of all seniors are affected by cancer at some point in their lives. Some forms of cancer are more common than others. Lung and breast cancer are the most common forms as found in seniors, but skin cancer also puts in an appearance in the top senior afflictions list. Cancer can be treated with great effect these days but the older the sufferer is, the more the odds of a full recovery are cut. After all, how many eighty years olds are strong enough to come through a course of chemotherapy? Any form of cancer must be caught early if a patient is to stand any chance of recovery so bodily abnormalities must be checked out by a medical professional as soon as they are discovered.

DEMENTIA – A high number of seniors also suffer from dementia. There are many forms of dementia, but they all stem from decreasing brain activity owing to degradation and resultant damage to the connections between the brain and nerve endings in the body. The cause of dementia is not known and there can be little done to effectively treat it, although some drugs do hols off the symptoms for a while. The most common form of dementia is Alzheimer’s Disease, which is generally more potent than other versions of the illness. It can be extremely frustrating for sufferers because they gradually become more confused, although they will initially know what is happening to them. It may take anywhere between a few months to many years for the full symptoms to actually emerge, but when they do it is extremely unlikely that the sufferer will know who you are.

PARKINSON’S DISEASE – Again, this is a disease that affects the nerve cells leading to the brain and like, dementia, nobody knows exactly what is behind it. Whereas dementia will affect an individual mentally, Parkinson’s primarily disables the body and then moves onto the mind. It may be apparent that a sufferer has the disease because of uncontrollable shaking, which is just as frustrating as the confusion associated with dementia. Again, there is no known cure and drugs only work for a limited time before symptoms can no longer be controlled.

DIABETES – More and more seniors are suffering with this disease as a result of their lifestyles and, primarily, their diets. As sugar and fat intake increases, the body rebels. However, diabetes is an age-old ailment that is caused by the body’s inability to produce enough insulin to keep their blood sugar levels under control. It is incurable but can be treated either by diet or medication in tablet or injection form. It will not cause the death of an individual is treated correctly. However, particular attention has to be paid to wounds that diabetics have because they have a tendency to degenerate more quickly than those in non-diabetics. Amputation of limbs is also quite common as a result of the illness. It is therefore imperative that a diagnosis is swift and observations thereafter occur daily.

Q&A: Is anyone caring for someone with terminal lung cancer?

lung cancer
by NationalLungCancerPartnership

Question by : Is anyone caring for someone with terminal lung cancer?
My mom has terminal lung cancer and is on 24 hr oxygen. It gets difficult at times when I remember how she used to travel and was always on the go. Now there’s nothing that she can do without getting short of breath. I’m sad all of the time. I don’t know how I can function as well as I do at work. I just go through the motions.
My dad has liver cancer and his chemo seems to be working pretty well. Is there some type of support group for people in my situation? I would like to hear from anyone that’s experiencing or has experienced this situation,or anyone that can make me feel better. I’m in my fourties and so is my sister. My sister stays with Mom while I’m at work and I take over from there.
There’s a nurse that comes at Noon on Saturdays and stays there until Noon Sunday. That helps quite a bit.We are devastated.

Answer by cheri-er-rn@sbcglobal.net
God bless you and your family. There is support groups out there, check with the hospitals and churches in your area. I don’t think anyone can understand your situation unless they have been there. Good luck
