In the future if technology were available to create robots that looked like humans, had emotions of happiness, pain, love etc., would Christian fundamentalists have a problem with a human/robot baby whose blood combination would cure cancer if the blood could be withdrawn by amniocentisis, which would of course be more of an advanced science, seeing as this is a hypothetical question. The blood would need to be given with consent of course.

I remember when christians had problems with organ transplants. Now they have problems with stem cell research.
I am sure they would come up with some reason to have a problem with the situation you just described. To have blood, the robot probably has a heart. To have emotions it probably has a brain. Therefore they will say this is too close to human cloning or *something*.

Sorry guys, I forgot to add that my friend suffers from STOMACH CANCER, very close to the opening to the duodenum. It is almost blocking the opening, and it could not be operated, hence the doctor made a by-pass, which works for now. He has already had chemo, but did not shrink the tumor. The conventional physicians say that there is nothing much they can do.

I don’t know what to tell you. When my father had cancer there was nothing that cured it. I know Chemo and radiation are the only ways to cure it. However, it didn’t work for my father he passed away almost 4 years ago.

Most of these problems can be solved with proper housing and care.
After checking my Leopard Gecko books (and looking up some care guides) I couldn’t find an exact reason for mouth rot, only treatment. Sorry.
Egg Binding usually only occurs when the female has a lack of calcium, so when a female is developing eggs (fertile or not fertile) make sure she’s getting a good supply of calcium (same goes for any reptile).
Sand impaction results from a reptile ingesting sand, which they’ll do purposely if it’s calcium or vitamin sand, or accidental if the food they are eating is directly on the sand. The first (and best) is to simply not use sand. The second option would be to use (sifted and washed) Play Sand, and put all food items in a food dish.
From what I’ve read respiratory disease is the result of a too low temperature, and too high humidity. Use the proper temperatures and humidity %s and you’ll be fine.
Anorexia…? I’ve never heard that term used for reptiles… But okay. I highly doubt you’re reptile is going to half starve itself out of fear of its appearance, so just offer them a proper diet and you’ll be fine.
I haven’t had much luck with the diarrhea either, sorry.
Shedding problems are a simple one. For starters Leopard Geckos will become much duller when they’re about to shed, so you should be able to tell when they’re going to shed. Second your tank should have a moist hide in it for shedding. Having that moist hide will allow the Leopard Gecko to easily remove the skin. After a shed you should check the Leopard Gecko for bits of shed left. If there is a piece restricting its toes or tail then take a pair of tweezers and gently remove the skin.

There isnt enough info to do this problem… it is a simple Punnet square, but you didnt tell us if the dominant allele is homozygous or heterozygous. the chances will be different if it is hetero vs. homozygous.
ALso, just to be a knit picker… generally dominant allele would be for “not cancer” and the recessive trait would be ” cancer developing”. Recessive= bad things generally speaking in Genetics.
So, let me know if 1 parent is HETERO or HOMOZYGOUS Dominant for cancer, and then Ill figure it out.

and was wondering about the part that says “The average American receives an effective dose of approximately 3 mSv of radiation each year from radon, rocks, outer space, soil, electronics, and airplane travel.” Does this 3 mSv per year add up over a lifetime? For example, would a 30 year old have a total of about 90 mSv (3 x 30), or when they say something like “And liver cancer can be caused by exposure to less than 100 mSv of radiation.” do they mean you have to get that 100mSv all in one dose, and does it have to be directly exposed to the liver? I hope this question isn’t too confusing, lol.

From my understanding it is accumulative hence precautions with x-rays and radiation treatment being closely monitored.

Type 2 Diabetes is caused by poor diet, poor exercise, and a generally poor lifestyle. This is not strictly environmental, because YOU can prevent Type 2 Diabetes by controlling your diet and exercise levels.
Note that Diabetes is NOT caused by eating too much sugar!!!

I think you should have an occult blood test done regularly it is painless and can detect pre cancerous polps which can be removed without too invasive surgery . The test is done at home by taking smears of stool samples over a three day period and mailing to a laboratory. Because you have a family history it is worth monitoring and having an early diagnosis

they should test first because if it is cancer they could aggravate it and cause it to spread more. i lost my aunt to lung cancer and have 2 friends that are survivors and one had many experts tell her not to let a surgeon touch it without testing the lymph-nodes first i hope this helps
