COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) is a general term for different lung conditions, some are:

Emphysema
Chronic Bronchitis
Asthma

You could google them to find out what you need to know

Have you looked through the Yahoo groups? They have support groups for all kinds of illnesses. Other than that, I’d just do a Google search.
