I have a friend who has a kind of cancer called a sarcoma. For those who do not know about Sarcomas they are one of the rarer cancers, there are no Sarcoma foundations, and they are not very treatable. Most treatments for this are trial drugs that can only be accessed from a couple hospitals in the world, one of those few Sarcoma specialists being in Houston. She has it in both lungs, had to have part of her arm removed, and has been battling this for 6 years. She is 18 and lives in Egypt. She has to come to the US for her treatments, but there is no insurance in Egypt or anything to cover her while she is here. I called US NetCare system and they said they cannot help because she has a pre-existing condition. I understand it is not profitable to take on a person in this condition (sad when medical care comes to the dollar) They have racked up over 150K in medical expenses so far, not to mention the cost of the stay in the US, the loss of wages when her parents bring her here (she is too weak not to have them with her), and the air fare of coming back and forth. They have done fund raisers and taken out loans, but their money for her care is running out. Can someone please let me know where they can go for assistance or an organization that can help. They are in great need! And please do not give me some ignorant answer about them not being American, people are people and they have legal medical visas! Thank you.

I don’t know of any organisations in particular but you might want to try some of your local churches. If they cant help directly they may be able to refer you to some organisation that might.

Režisér Pavel Koutecký začal film natáčet v roce 1992 a sledoval prvního českého prezidenta více než třináct let. Premiéry svého nejzajímavějšího a největšího filmu se bohužel Koutecký nedočkal. Po jeho tragické smrti na jaře 2006 se dokončení filmu ujal režisér Miroslav Janek spolu se svou ženou, střihačkou Toničkou Jankovou.
