One of the main points stressed in the movie/book is that man is being stripped of his masculinity in this artificial world that we live in. I couldn’t agree more. Look around you, at this technology, these white-collar jobs, the junk food, society’s restrictions and expectations, this bogus, artifical idea of “etiquette,” everything in general.
Scientific studies have shown that there has been a decline in males’ testosterone levels over the years. Gee, I wonder why. We have gone from behaving as we are (animals) to acting like something we’re not. We did not evolve to sit in cubicles for 8 hours, go home, eat fast food because we’re too tired to eat natural food, have a bottle of beer, watch tv, and pass out on the couch. We evolved to become better warriors and survive.
The obesity epidemic rampant in this country could easily be solved by reverting back to a primitive lifestyle. If you think about it, technology has brought a lot of harm to society. Pollution, car crashes, explosions, the ability to kill record numbers of people all at once, processed food that is killing us slowly, toxic chemicals that are poisoning our body, unhealthy lifestyles (sitting in a chair all day as opposed to hunting), etc. Why do people need glasses? Excessive computer usage and tv is one reason. Why do people develop lung cancer? Smoking is a major reason. Many problems can be explained in the context of technology.
Living a truly healthy lifestyle in this modern world is essentially impossible. The air is polluted. The food we consume is not natural. Perhaps organic food is natural or close enough, but of course, it is very expensive and not convenient. And many people simply don’t have physically demanding jobs. Just working out for half an hour or an hour isn’t enough. We weren’t meant to live this way.
The way we are living is stripping us of our masculinity. We are becoming less physical. As mentioned before, working in cubicles, etc. prevents us from our original, physical job: hunting. Feminists are contributing to this loss of masculinity. They have actually gone so far as to condemn man’s natural instincts which are the very reason for our very survival today as a species. If a man today is attracted to women he is often labeled a “pervert.” Males who have sex with multiple females are degraded by females as “players.” Males are also discouraged from their violent nature that helped them hunt and survive. Children are taught to find peaceful solutions, avoid fights, etc.
I am not encouraging a violent and chaotic world but simply pointing out what appear to be, in my opinion, flaws in the modern world. Anyone else agree? I’d like to hear what others think.

For Environmental Club, I want to test the level of lead and other things in the water supply at our school. Of course, finding the level of harmful things in the water will benefit the school.
