I thought it was angina, but i dont have any pain, and the pressure isn’t exactly in the center of my chest. I’m worried it’s lung cancer…I smoked for 2 years but I quitted 2 months ago. I’m 22 but I don’t have any other symptom just that and sometimes a little wheezing and sporadic cough, but nothing to worry, is not a persistent cough, and nothing else. I just don’t know if I’m been a hypochondriac (anxious, I’m easily stressed) or is just the season we’re at that’s causing me mild symptoms of asthma. Any help please.

pressure can be a symptom of angina and the like; it also doesn’t have to be in the center of your chest. Lung cancer is unlikely at your age too. I’d be more worried about heart related issues if I were you. You’re probably better off having a doctor look at you if you are that concerned about it.

for the past 5 days ive been dealing with stomach problems, including nausea, lack of appetite, stomach gurgling, gas/bloating, and constipation/diahrrea. Ive also had a sore throat, which may have been misdiagnosed as strep because the antibiotics aren’t helping
ive been up all night worrying about things. I now lay down and if i breathe in my left lung feels weird. I’m thinking either pluresy or pneumonia.
i dont know IF i have oral thrush, but i think i might, and if i do i think that this may be the cause of all my problems. Maybe infecting me? Please help!.
i havent been to the dr much. i was in the hospital for pluresy once, and they tell me i have high blood pressure.
I was also diagnosed with anxiety/panic disorder and depression but this is not what im experiencing. i am actually fairly calm and my body just aches.
feeling weird on the lung..i dunno. it feels like maybe bronchial or something is in my lung..possibly fluid?
im currently taking amoxacillian(sp) for my supposed strep through. 5 days now no change. my diet is extremely unhealthy, mostly fast food and stuff like that.
oh and no cigarette smoking here.

CuT down on the cigarettes sunny, if it aint that. then it could just well be pnumonia you speak of some symptoms, feeling weird sensation in lung? thats not enough for me, what kind of sensation? bubbling? you need to add these in mate could help a lot

For about a week now I have developed a slight shortness of breath, and a discomfort in my right lung including some muscular pain/tenderness in the same side on my back. The doctor examined my breathing and said my airwaves were clear, despite the symptoms being worse in the morning time (along with coughing up a tiny bit of yellowish phlegm). She said the problem was due to incorrect breathing patterns because of the anxiety in getting from exams later this month. I have had many throat/chest infections over the past year or so, as my immune system isnt amazing, and I was wondering what could be causing the problem, and if its worth getting an x-ray done after the weekend. Thanks

try a chiropractor out. most reputable places give free first examination and x-rays. you wouldnt believe the types of things they can fix with adjustments. i used to have very bad digestive problems until i started going to one.

Her brething is deep but she exhales with some force. Sometimes (for a couple of minutes) she is brething with her mouth open and most other time she is brething through her nose.
Her cancer was diagnosed in November 06 and she was given 3 months to live. She has shown no signs of illness until 2 weeks ago when we noticed her heavy breaths. She still was playful and eating but for the last 2 days she has stopped eating.
We are periodically feeding her what the doctor recommends. We are making her ingest liquids and some solid foods.
What I want to know is when is the time to take her in for euthanization? What are the symptoms that she is hours or minutes away from dying a painful death?
We do not want do it too soon because what if she is sick from something else and she recovers? I do not want to think I killed her by being impatient?
She still responds to calling by moving her tail. She walks slowly and just lays down.
What are the signs that she is near?
She does not have her mouth open right now. Sometimes she will brethe with her mouth slighly open.
What I am afraid of is if we euthanize her, we may be killing her because she is lethargic from another ailment and the lung cancer is not whats causing her discomfort. What if she makes it back to how she was in a few days? Maybe the lung cancer will take her in 2 months instead of now. We do not want to kill her … what should we wait for as far as symptoms of nearby death from lung cancer? Coughing? Blood coming out? We have for now decided that if we see any prolonged discomfort in brething, we will euthanize her. But I want to know what to look for.

My father is undergoing chemo and radiation treatment for small cell lung cancer (five weeks down with two and a half to go). He has bad throat pain to the point he can’t stand to swallow (I think there is swelling as well as pain). He is extremely weak and is loosing a few pounds everyday. He can barely even drink anything and when he does I can see the discomfort on his face. He drops his head and tries to shake it off. He gets treatments through the Veterans Hospital and they don’t seem concerned (they never are). He is now so weak he can’t walk without help. Any advice on how to ease his discomfort would be greatly appreciated.
He is a diabetic and already has to give himself shots daily. He also has alzheimers, heart problems and several other health issues.

Cloraseptic or sucking on suckrets (the cough drops for sore throats) could help as will Tylenol. There is also an oral gel that helps with mouth sores (sorry I can’t remember what it’s called)
Your dad could also possibly have Thursh, which cause whitish looking junk in his throat. It is a yeast type infection that is common in Chemo patients. He should get it checked by his oncologist.
Chemo plays havoc with all parts of the body, in particular any part that is protected by mucous membranes. If he can eat just a little bit, soft foods with gravy, smoothies, anything high in calories (cream soups, etc) baked potatoes mashed up with lots of butter and sour cream… are what got me through chemo.
