I’ve recently heard from a friend that cigarettes from Eastern Europe are better than the US made as they don’t put so much garbage in them in Europe. Any ideas?

i used to smoke ones from Spain that were much much better, also about three times as expensive as the normal ones are now.
EDIT: Clifton, where else could he ask this question? The Cancer section? What kind of answers do you think he would get there? “Oh smoking is evil and it was invented by Satan…” that’s what I see coming out of the hell hole known on Y!A as the cancer section!

Charles Darwin: led to a totally different human view, away from theological explications. Man wasn’t anymore creation of God but a product of natural evolution.
Montesquieu: was the base of western political democracy: the division between executive, the legislative, and the judicial power.

My brother has lung cancer. He had removal surgery a year and a half ago. The cancer then turned up in his lung. He’s been through a course of I.V. chemo, then pills and has now had so much that his docs won’t allow him to have any more for another year. His wife died a couple of years ago and he was left with their four small children to care for. He’s looking for any feasible alternative treatments available. He heard recently from a friend that there is a treatment in Europe where a form of dialysis is performed and the blood is heated to such an extent that the cancer could possibly be killed during the process? He knows that whatever the procedure is, it’s dangerous, but he has no other choice. He must stay alive for the kids if for nothing else. Can anyone offer any information? Thank you very much in advance.

But from what I understand, heating of blood is good for treating leukemia type of cancer only. For solid tumors, the heating technique doesn’t involve dialysis of blood. Here is an article about blood heating:

HGRV found in European ME/CFS patients
September 2010. After the bombshell findings of Murine Leukemia Virus Related Virus (XMRV) being discovered in American CFS patients and this finding being published in the highly coveted SCIENCE journal (Lomardi et al, 2009 – Detection of an infectious retrovirus XMRV in the blood cells of patients with CFS) by the Whittemore Peterson Institute (WPI) and this finding confirmed as real by the American government FDA and published in PNAS journal (Alter et al, 2010 – Detection of MLV-related virus gene sequences in blood of patients with chronic fatigue syndrome and healthy blood donors) who discovered polytrophic MULV’s in CFS patients – things in Europe aren’t so rosy. Or so people are lead to believe….. due to the silence in the media and endless ‘failed’ studies using outspoken denialists of ME/CFS, methods that cannot detect XMRV and a cohort of psychiatrically ill people who do not meet the Criteria for neuro immune CFS or ME. The British and Dutch say they can’t find XMRV, and it’s probably contamination, and thus won’t fund any more studies because they cannot find anything. Now, by total coincidence, both these countries have spent decades blaming their own citizens with ME/CFS and telling them their viral symptoms are a ‘belief’ in between the ears, and they need to manage their illness with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Exercise and get back to work. They did not introduce it, the explorers took it back to Europe and introduced it. The Indians didn’t.

LED lights in the ears may stop depression
Depression may be stopped in the future with strong LED light in people’s ears, reports the newspaper Kaleva.
The Oulu-based company Valkee has developed a device, which provides light through the ear channels directly to the areas of brain that respond to light.
"In just four weeks practially all winter depression sufferers with severe depression and anxiety symptoms were fully cured", the CEO of the company says.
Light can be shined to the brain from the ear channel where the bones are very thin.
Professor Timo Takala characterises the method "at least revolutionary".
"All symptoms disappeared in a short perod of time", Takala confirms the results from the test group.
"Light has direct biological effect and we now have clear proof of this."
The device has been patented in 2006. It should be available online and through pharmacies in early February.
I could not make the lamp stay in my ear, so I stuck it in my mouth. I am not sure if I feel better, but I will give reports on my progress.
