Q&A: What kind of cancer of the buttocks is treated with chemotherapy that doesn’t cause hair to fall out?
Question by sufferinsuketash420: What kind of cancer of the buttocks is treated with chemotherapy that doesn’t cause hair to fall out?
I’m an actor and I’m playing the role of a young man with cancer of the “ass”. He says that the chemotherapy he is taking to treat the cancer doesn’t cause his hair to fall out? What is the scientific term for the cancer someone get on their ass?

Answer by Spreedog
A malignancy in this area would be a sarcoma – probably a rhabdomyosarcoma http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/001429.htm of the skeletal muscle in the buttocks such as the gluteus maximus muscle. http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.audreysmassage.com/images/medical/GluteusMaximus.gif&imgrefurl=http://www.audreysmassage.com/featurepage/gluteal.html&h=211&w=250&sz=23&tbnid=Y-PjsEjwZ-muSM:&tbnh=94&tbnw=111&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dgluteus%2Bmaximus&usg=__77kVQFzXterlFY54rr2vcjJ94RM=&ei=2vlAS92cHIS1tgeKs7ht&sa=X&oi=image_result&resnum=5&ct=image&ved=0CBoQ9QEwBA
– that is of course unless it happened to be a skin cancer in that area.
Most chemotherapy regimens for rhabdomyosarcomas would cause hair loss.
Of course in theater there is the audience’s willing suspension of disbelief – you can change reality in a play. Sounds like a nutty script. Glad you don’t really have a malignancy of the as*.

Hmmmm. Maybe you mean an anal canal carcinoma like Farrah Fawcet. These are becoming more common with sexually transmitted HPV infections. The treatment for these is radiation plus an IV cis-platinum / 5FU combination chemotherapy regimen with or without mitomycin. This might not cause hair loss.
It sure would help us to know exactly which body part you are asking about.

Principles of Evolution, Ecology and Behavior (EEB 122) Mutations are the origin of genetic diversity. Mutations introduce new traits, while selection eliminates most of the reproductively unsuccessful traits. Sexual recombination of alleles can also account for much of the genetic diversity in sexual species. In some instances, population size can affect diversity and rates of evolution and fixation, but in other cases population size does not matter. 00:00 – Chapter 1. Introduction 05:32 – Chapter 2. Answer by Curley
Oh, boy. I hate this job. did it myself and phew. Never again. I used a mask, a drywall knife to scrape the texture off and tried to sand it, but it was too hard. I mainly covered it with a thick coating of dry wall plaster. It looks okay, but will put drywall up one of these days. Cover the floor with plastic, take all the stuff out of the room. It becomes a huge mess.

It all grows back… You can pay out of pocket for eyelash transplant but you’ll have to trim them, as they continue to grow, unlike normal eyelashes…

Cancer Patients Twice As Likely To Fall Into Fuel Poverty As The General Population  Â
Cancer Patients Twice As Likely To Fall Into Fuel Poverty As The General Population  Â

Macmillan Calls On Government To Extend Winter Fuel Payment To Cancer Patients
Paying fuel bills can be hard at the best of times but you are twice as likely to fall into fuel poverty[1] if recently treated for cancer, according to new research from Macmillan Cancer Support.
Following diagnosis, three-quarters (73 per cent[2]) of cancer patients in active treatment need to use their heating more yet those under 60 do not qualify for any help to pay for it.
That is why Macmillan is calling on the Government to offer cancer patients most in need[2] the winter fuel payment, just like the elderly, and also to include them in the group entitled to the new mandatory social tariffs that energy companies will have to offer[3].
Ciarán Devane, Chief Executive at Macmillan Cancer Support says: “People undergoing cancer treatment spend more time at home as they’re often too ill to work. The effects of treatment can make them feel the cold more, and then they need the heating on higher and for longer which leads to increased fuel bills; all at a time when their household income plummets.”
Ciarán continues: “Struggling with fuel bills is a situation that can very quickly spiral out of control for cancer patients and it is simply not fair. They need help from the Government and they need it now.”
Rachel, 40, from Lancashire, is married with two teenage children. Her husband Iain has a long history of cancer, first with testicular cancer and more recently thyroid cancer. Rachel says: ‘With the soaring cost of gas and electricity, we’ve become terrified of the bills. My husband gets very cold but we’re scared to put the heating on all day so instead, he wraps up in layers of clothing. Not only that but we worry about using the washing machine and dryer.
My husband’s illness means he sweats and vomits; keeping his clothes and bedding clean is a constant job and adds to our fuel costs. The children and I skip bathing so that we can afford his daily shower and bath – if we don’t keep his skin clean there’s real danger of infection.’ “We will be spending another winter terrified of fuel bills, on top of all the other worries about cancer,” says husband Iain.
Of all the people helped financially by Macmillan over one year [4], nearly 12,000 people (43 per cent) asked for help with their fuel bills. But the charity cannot do it alone. Notes to Editors:
[1] 9.6 % of the general (non vulnerable) population are in fuel poverty, Department of Energy and Climate Change fuel poverty statistics, 2009. 19 % of cancer patients undergoing treatment in the last year are in fuel poverty, Macmillan Cancer Support Online survey of 974 people with cancer, May 2009
[2] Macmillan defines cancer patients in need as those undergoing treatment in the past year, who are terminally ill, or in receipt of Council Tax Benefit or Housing Benefit
[3] In July 2009, the UK Low Carbon Transition Plan announced their intention to bring in legislation to introduce a mandatory social tariff from March 2011. Under this, the energy companies will be obliged to offer an energy bill rebate to a select group of vulnerable people.
[4] Between 1st September 08 and 31st August 09, 11,847 people were helped with their fuel bills – 43 per cent of the total number of people helped financially (27,458) by Macmillan. This compares to 10,019 people who were helped during the same period the previous year – an 18 per cent increase.
Fuel poverty is defined as when a family needs to spend at least 10 per cent of their income on heating and lighting their home.

AMAZON The word that stands for GREATNESS, STRENGHT AND NATURE. And one-fourth of the oxygen in the entire world is produced by the Amazon rain forests. They’re known as “the lungs of the earth.” An ecosystem protecting an earth’s biological treasures. More than 10 million species of plants, animals and insects live in the forest. The Amazon contains the largest collection of living plants, species animals on earth. Evergreen as far as the eyes can see, at least 3000 edible fruits are hidden here. The natives used 2000 of these. Only 200 fruits are available in the West. The natural healing power of theses treasures of the Amazons has not gone unnoticed in the scientific world and those who seek the fountain of youth. The US National Cancer Institute said that 70% of these 3000 plants that are active are found in the rain forest. Today 20% of the western pharmaceutical ingredients are found in the Amazon rainforest. The Amazon is still largely undiscovered. In the heart of the forest ……….stands the tallest palm tree in the world. And from that tree comes the most grand treasure…..the small, round, dark violet berry….the ACAI berry. Because acai palms are the tallest trees in the Amazon and provide shade for the other vegetation, they’ve learned to adapt to absorb more solar radiation than other plant sin the forest. And because the rain forest is, in fact rain forest, acai palms must survive flood conditions that often leave their trunks under water for days and …

walk of fame the fall of troy cover
This is one of the songs that no one covers so i thought it might be fun to learn it. most of the parts are screwed up for no reason maybe because my butt was itchy. i wont say something like i’ve only learn the guitar for 3 months and all those bullshit. The quality is really bad because it was taken from a phone camera so enjoy it . The chords and solos were shrewd up because i was kinda day dreaming . IF you want a full band cover with vocals i dont mind doing it . i might redo it properly , not sure if i am playing it right though. PS my G -string was totally out of tune .and half way through the pedal i pressed had the volume level set to high.

Q&A: How long does it take a fiber of asbestos to fall to the ground?
Question by J J: How long does it take a fiber of asbestos to fall to the ground?
how long does it take asbestos to fall from a 10 foot ceiling to the ground?
thank you for that answer. do you happen to know about a time frame? without any air flow, and no moisture in the air?
Best answer:
Answer by billrussell42
depends on air currents and other factors.
If you are trying to see how long the fiber is dangerous, air currents can keep it in the air for quite a while, and even if it lands, it could easily be sent aloft again by a foot hitting it.
