I need advice on how to improve this! YOU DON’T HAVE TO READ IT ALL! I would appreciate if you read like the first and second and review! Thanks so much:
Sometimes I would wonder what it was like to be born as a human. The intimacy involved, a woman getting pregnant, and her husband supporting her during the nine months, until she finally delivered the child in a hospital surrounded by her family and friends. They would each have smiles on their faces, comforting her as she labored. That was the way I envisioned it, it seemed like magic… magic that was beyond me? It was an earthly thing meant for earthly beings and I wasn’t even born on earth. But I was still a human… partly.
I was believed to have been born in England of 1994 through a sickly woman who had lung cancer and died during the birth — she was about to die anyway, that was part of the lie. The truth was, my birth place was nowhere near England — or earth — and neither of my parents were dead — they had sent me there for personal reasons. I lived as an orphan for eight years, most of the years spent in England, waiting for someone to adopt me. People turned me down more often than not, but who could blame them? I was practically a mutant child, but seriously, the real reason was because I was a bit an arrogant smart-mouth. It all started with this lady who worked at the orphanage, her name was Ms. Lee, and she would constantly tell me how obnoxious I was. I didn’t argue, it was slightly true, but I had a reason for my actions. I was a rebel, but only because I was trapped in a foreign body. Any person would be fed up about that. She desperately wanted to get rid of me and did everything in her power to make that happen.
In the end, she did get rid of me — I was kicked out of the orphanage for calling her a batty old sleazebag. That day hadn’t started out well for me. I would usually get up in the middle of the night and sit in the sand box we had in the playground. No one was allowed outside after dark, but the sand helped me fake sleep. I wasn’t actually sleeping but… it was close to it. My eyes would close gently and I would sit up in a statue like statue the whole night until some staff member saw me and would take me back inside. I knew it wasn’t sleep because I could feel them on my arms, lifting me. Meditation was perhaps a good word to describe the type of sleep I preferred.
Ms. Lee, however, threatened to “remove me from the premises” if I attempted to sneak out the building again. But I hated sleeping — it rarely did anything for me. Without my nightly meditation in the sand was like a normal human without sleep. I survived a couple days, but gave in eventually and snuck out again. Let’s just say I had a bad mouth for a little girl and they kicked me out.
After getting kicked out of my own country, I was flown to the United States in hope that I would get adopted there. America was something new to me. Sure, I’d heard their accents on television, seen pictures of the place, but that was pretty much all I knew of America. My ego ceased a little when kids at the American orphanage started joking about my “funny” accent. American kids weren’t very proper and I knew this for a fact because when my accent died out they still had to find something to laugh at me about. But I kind of liked American kids. Most of them weren’t all high and mighty like most of the snooty hypocrites in England — Ms. Lee was one of them.
I finally got adopted in Los Angeles, California by a married couple named Logan and Claudia Martinez. They took me in and promised that they would give me the best life possible. They seemed nice. I felt I deserved nice parents, considering the eight pitiful years that I had spent in pathetic England… and with Ms. Lee.

you can just read part if you want. its most of my first chapter, but i decided to revise what was before it. thanks so much fir any help free two points plus ten to the best?
when finally the last tick of the clock anounced the last second of the school year, the archaic bell resounding through the even older building, students acted as though it were the alarm sounding the Apocolips. They flew awkwardly from the room, tripping and toppling over desks and chairs and smaller people, until finally they flooded the halls and managed to evacuate the place most of them thought as a hell-whole.
i blended with them as well as possible, keeping my straitened, dyed-black hair (which i’d also added hot pink extensions too) over my face and the hood of my black Pac Sun sweatshirt up. my hands stayed in my pockets, my left one secured around the knife, until i reached the back of the school building and sat between shrubs against the brick. i pulled the knife out and flipped it open, slowly pressuring the cool metal to my fore arm. the skin was just about to split, to part as would the Red Sea, when he startled me with the noise of a match flaring up.
“you come back here, too?” he asked, lighting the joint between his teeth.
“sometimes.” i said. “not usually for pot, though.”
“just to cut yourself?”
i shrugged.
“im jeremiah.” he said, offering me the joint. “are you gonna tell me your name?”
“accailia.” i said, taking a pull of marijauna into my lungs. slowly i began to feel the happy effects in my head as i passed dope back to him. “you come back here just to smoke?”
“pretty much. or drink, but do you mind if i try that?” he indicated my knife. “you dont have a blood disease, do you?” he added as i handed him the knife.
“not that i know of.” i told him, reaching in my bag for something to eat as marijauna’s effects set in. all i had were a plastic box of tic-tacs, though. not exactly appetizing, but it would rid me of pot breath. i offered him some, as well, and thats when he noticed the pill.
“woah!” he said. “is that-?”
i began to say no, when i realized it was acid. the tic tacs i’d taken mustve been my fathers.
“yeah.” i told him. “but it’s… a friends.”
“you think they would mind if we had our own little party with it?”
i frowned. my father did not take close inventory of his pills. but i had seen the affects of acid before too closeley, and i did not want any for myself.
“you can.” i told him. “but i think i’ll just stick with weed if you have any more.”
“deal.” he said, pulling a bong from his bag and handing it to me along with my knife and some matches. i lit up, and soon was too dedicated to my own hazy world to notice much of what wad going on in the real world. pot was making me happy, and the knife was setting me free.
soon, however, the effects of acid on it’s virgin user jeremiah began to sober me.
it started with his screaming. he screamed and shrieked in a way that reminded me more of a death cry than anything else. even all doped up, it scared me. it made me angry, and i wanted him to stop, to shut the hell up. i selected a rock larger than the size of my fist and, in my state, would probably have killed him with it had he not entered the second phase of his first use of acid.
jeremiah projectile vomited over the shrubs and the back wall of the school. he was choking so badly with it he could no longer scream, and i could only hope he was able to breathe. when he paused, he shook and sobbed and moaned as if the devil himself were before him to deliver his fate. then he resumed puking, choking and crying the whole time. i expected him to bleed in his tears and in his vomit until he was pale and dead.
i stood there, helpless, rock in my hand and weed smoke in my brain. eventually he collapsed on the ground, shaking and moaning in obvious fear and pain at whatever acid may have produced in his mind and caused him to hallucenate. i dropped my weapon and knelt there by him, covered in blood from his cut wrist and filth from inside him and the gound, too. he reeked of pot and vomit, but i stayed.
“jeremiah.” i murmured, taking his hand and holding it. gently i rubbed our palms together in smooth circles, a gesture of comfort he could feel when all sight of what was happening had been lost. his eyes flew open but he didnt look up at me, only stared into empty space beyond me.
“jeremiah.” i said again, wanting to do something else to provide comfort to him.
i remembered the time when, before my brother had gone off to join the military and never returned, i had fallen on the sidewalk and cut my knee. i had been fine until i saw the blood and started wailing.
earlier in that day, he had told me that we had the same blood. mine was his and his was mine, and almost everything in us was the same. i didnt believe him. how could what had always been trapped in our bodies magically go from him into me an me into him?

Tobacco and alcohol is illegal and far worse then marijuana especially if you consume marijuana in food and not smoke it. Studies have shown their are no severe long term effects besides lung cancer but come on tobacco causes the same thing. People who are high tend to be a lot more careful on the road then people who are drunk, yet alcohol is legal. Alcohol casuse agression, fights, murders and all sorts of bad things while marijuana causes people to be calm. Marijuana helps cancer patients along with other illnesses. Surveys show that 75 percent of America have atleast tried marijuana. The economy could get a boost if marijuana were legal when they start to regulate it. People wouldn’t have to hide it all the time, they would not lose their job if they do it at home. WHAT IS THE PROBLEM WITH MAKING IT LEGAL????

I am writing a vampire book but I can not think of any names for it. I don’t want anything too vampiric so you can automatically tell it’s a vampire book. I want an old-timey title since it takes place in the 1750′s. Please help! Here is the prolouge, 1st and 2nd chapter to help:
Prologue
When God created the Earth, he created three other races. He traveled to three distant parts of the Earth and started work on these supernatural beings. First, he went to the forests and created the Elves. He made a man and a woman and for some reason, created another race of Elves: The Drow. The Drow were a dark race of Elves. God worked for three days and three nights on the perfect beings of the forest. He gave them big, articulate eyes in the most vibrant colors. Their ears were long and pointed, their noses small and narrow. They had high cheekbones; all of their features were perfect. They were made to be creatures of inconceivable beauty. They had light golden colored hair and were very tall. They were very in touch with nature. God then plucked a piece of light from the sun and placed it in the two Elves hearts. This would give them magic, and kindness.
When he had finished with the Elves, he worked on making the Drow. Like their Kin, they were beautiful. But they had black hair, and incandescent eyes. God took a piece of the moon and put it in their hearts. It would give them magic and darkness. He made them this way, for every race needs a counter-balance of dark and light. He named them all. The light male he named Beriadan and the woman Tarrah. They would start a loving race that would stay out of the way of the darker races of the world. The dark Elven man he named Dûrion and the woman was named Rhavaniel. They would start a race of dark, war loving elves who would often meddle in the affairs of others. God blew on them and gave them breath in their lungs. They awoke, naked and alone.
“Go my children, and do as you want. Do what you were created to do.” God said in his booming voice. And the Elves were afraid, but they looked in their hearts and saw what their purpose was. So they went into the forest and the Drow went underground, into the caves. The Elves made clothes of bark and grass while the Drow killed animals and made clothes from their hides. The Elves were kind to nature while the Drow lived nowhere near it. God flew away from the four new creatures that he had created and onto another part of the world.
God flew down to hell and stopped the burning fire so he could create the residents of the burning place. He started to create what he called, Demons. They would be the mischief makers of the world, do all the evil things, but ultimately guide the souls of the damned to their final resting place. He created a man and woman, like he had with the Elves and the Drow. They had long black hair and looked like humans. They were just as beautiful as the Elves, but without the big eyes and pointed ears. The Demons were of medium height and very strong. God created wings on their backs, and extra space in their back so they could put them away when they weren’t flying. He cut two slits with his fingernails and proceeded to fashion the wings out of bats that he found. When he was done he gazed at them. They had gray eyes, no blemishes. He dubbed the man Adrian, the Prince of Hell. He called the woman Melanie, the Princess of Hell. When he brought them to life, they would receive special powers and gifts. He placed a piece of hellfire in each of their hearts and blew air into their lungs and watched as they came to life.
“Go hellions, creatures of the underground, unwanted things. Go and do what you were created to do.” And the Demons showed no fear, for they were not afraid. They immediately started to make a castle where they would reign as the supreme rulers of hell, harbingers of death and despair and disease. God flew off to make the third and final race of beings.
God landed in a patch of land in what would be a graveyard in Europe in the future. He produced two skeletons and put pale flesh on their bones. He gave these creatures’ dead, un-beating hearts and lungs that needed no breath. He made them with long sharp fingernails and pointed teeth. He gave one black hair, and the other red hair. He stared at these beings, wondering what purpose he should give them. He could think of none so he made them roamers, creatures of the night with no purpose for now but to survive. He sharpened their teeth to a fine point and made them complete. Their eyes were black, their faces pale, dead heart and lungs. Unable to cry and reproduce. Surely this race would die. But God gave them a way to survive. They would drink the blood of humans for nourishment. If they ever drained a person of their blood then they would become a vampire as well. That’s right, Folks! I’m already dying from the “End Stages” of terminal Cirrhosis of the Liver (2 much hard Drinkin’ & Druggin’ in my youth!), and now, a “routine X-Ray” Friday revealed I now have Lung Cancer from Smoking added to my “Dance Card”! Thus far, I have remained Atheist and refused to Recant, but seriously, I’m starting to wonder if God isn’t trying to tell me something:
Like, this time, my luck’s all used up, and I’m not going to be getting out of this one alive!
What do you think? Should I give God a try, and accept Jesus into what’s left of my life?

Hi! A close family member of mine was diagnosed with cancer and Regenerative medicine was proposed to us. Since it is very expensive i would like to know how effective it is.
Medical history of patient: Lung cancer that was surgically removed 3 years ago, had chemotherapy for 6 cycles. Middle of november 2008 was diagnosed as having a metasthasis to the brain.
Our problem now is very heavy and i would really appreciate it if an expert or someone who has had an experience with regenerative medicine could get in touch with us.
Anyway, i’d also like to say that nothing can match the effectiveness of prayers 
as it is still a miracle that the patient is still with us and I thank God everyday for that

i personally dont believe it has a beneficial effect. most doctors say it will help but statistics say a majority of cancers come back after they do treatment.
have you noticed how its still there with all the treatment? Vitamin B17 is starting to come to light as the cure for cancer (not in america of course). and they have many cures overseas. i shouldnt be saying this considering my training, but the american medical system of doctors should not be your source for learning about cancer.

God created wings on their backs, and extra space in their back so they could put them away when they weren’t flying. He cut two slits with his fingernails and proceeded to fashion the wings out of bats that he found. When he was done he gazed at them. They had gray eyes, no blemishes. He dubbed the man Adrian, the Prince of Hell. He called the woman Melanie, the Princess of Hell. When he brought them to life, they would receive special powers and gifts. He placed a piece of hellfire in each of their hearts and blew air into their lungs and watched as they came to life.
“Go hellions, creatures of the underground, unwanted things. Go and do what you were created to do.” And the Demons showed no fear, for they were not afraid. They immediately started to make a castle where they would reign as the supreme rulers of hell, harbingers of death and despair and disease. God flew off to make the third and final race of beings.
God landed in a patch of land in what would be a graveyard in Europe in the future. He produced two skeletons and put pale flesh on their bones. He gave these creatures’ dead, un-beating hearts and lungs that needed no breath. He made them with long sharp fingernails and pointed teeth. He gave one black hair, and the other red hair. He stared at these beings, wondering what purpose he should give them. He could think of none so he made them roamers, creatures of the night with no purpose for now but to survive. He sharpened their teeth to a fine point and made them complete. Their eyes were black, their faces pale, dead heart and lungs. Unable to cry and reproduce. Surely this race would die. But God gave them a way to survive. They would drink the blood of humans for nourishment. If they ever drained a person of their blood then they would become a vampire as well. Great idea! I have done a few fundraisers and found that bake sales, car washes, and taking part in walks work well. You could check out the American Cancer Society for more information on fundraising, or info about walks in your area. As for names for your org- how about something like Cancer Crusaders? Best of luck on your efforts, you are doing a great thing!

I LOVED my Radiation therapists. They were sweet!!! It took the fear and monotony out of going for treatment every day. No they weren’t crying at all, they were smiling and upbeat all the time. It was actually nice to see them! I am sure it will be a very rewarding career for you.

If you smoke and you still don’t believe that there’s a definite link between smoking and bronchial troubles, heart disease and lung cancer, then you are certainly deceiving yourself. No one will accuse you of hypocrisy. Let us just say that you are suffering from a bad case of wishful thinking. This needn’t make you too uncomfortable because you are in good company. Whenever the subject of smoking and health is raised, the governments of most countries hear no evil, see no evil an smell no evil. Admittedly, a few governments have taken timid measures. In Britain, for instance, cigarette advertising has been banned on television continues to puff its way to smoky, cancerous death.
You don’t have to look very far to find out why the official reactions to medical findings have been so lukewarm. The answer is simply money. Tobacco is a wonderful commodity to tax. It’s almost like a tax on our daily bread. In tax revenue alone, the government of Britain collects enough from smokers to pay for its entire educational facilities. So while the authorities point out ever so discreetly that smoking may, conceivably, be harmful, it doesn’t do to shout too loudly about it.

Everyone knows the long-term health consequences of smoking, but those aren’t a concern of the younger people, who are all convinced that they won’t get any serious disease from cigarettes. None of them expect to be smoking in 20 years (though the majority of those who start smoking will continue to smoke for many years), so they don’t care about the long term consequences. So lung cancer, heart disease, emphysema, etc are not a concern of theirs. Most young people don’t think that their first cigarette at 15 years old or a social smoking habit in college could lead to these diseases. They think more in the moment or about the immediate future. What are good reasons for not smoking that can reach young people?

The wife is actually the physician’s first cousin. What action should the physician take?

While in residency training, a junior resident physician discovers that the chief resident is taking amphetamines while working the night shift in the ER. The junior resident tells his department head but was given instructions to keep this incident to himself. If you are the junior resident, what would you do?

In the Internal Medicine clinic, you were assigned to handle a 45 year old man with chronic liver disease, known to have a very bad temper. Case 1: If the patient gave explicit instructions to not speak of his condition with anyone then the doctor should not give the spouse any information. This is the basis of the HIPPA laws. The only way the doctor could legally give out the information to the man’s spouse is if the man with the cancer had given prior consent, in writing.
Case 2: This one is a bit tougher. What is the reason for taking the amphetamines? Does the chief resident have ADHD and needs something like Adderall to help keep him focused? Or is the chief resident taking “speed” because he is addicted to it? If the first, keep it to yourself because without the drugs the chief resident may be unable to successfully treat patients. If the second, do not keep the situation to yourself because lives are at stake and the amphetamines may cause harm.
Case 3: This is a typical patient. You must keep yourself calm and collected and never let your own temper get the best of you. Answer all his questions (as rude as they may be) to the best of your ability giving examples to alleviate any concerns he may have over your ability to treat him. Treat him with respect and attempt to make him as comfortable as possible. Having a good bedside manner is sometimes just as important as having medical knowledge. Knowing how to deal with people in stressful situations is important, too. There are a lot of people like this out there. Being in the medical field means you need to know how to handle them.
