Q&A: An attorney ad litem appointed my mother guardian of my grandfather, but my other relatives contest it?
Question by bdsm_rockstar: An attorney ad litem appointed my mother guardian of my grandfather, but my other relatives contest it?
My mother was granted temporary guardianship for six months. After which (if my grandfather lives that long), we will have a trial to determine permanent guardianship. Can my other family members contest her guardianship in the mean time (this is all over money by the way, they want me and my mother out of the house so they can search for my grandfather’s supposed abestos money–which we don’t believe exists).
If they contest it, what will happen? What will the attorney ad litem do?
Thank you E-ma. I will remind my mom to just stay calm and collected and to keep her focus on my grandfather. It’s such a stressful situation. My mother wants to hire a sitter. They work 12 hour shifts. I’m SURE my family members will contest that because they don’t want to spend his money (they want it all for themselves when he dies). I hope the judge allows my mother to have the sitter, instead of letting one of the family members come. If they do come, they’ll ramble all through his drawers looking for information and my mother will NOT feel comfortable or safe.
I think the sitter is a good idea.

Possession is nine parts of the law, don’t move.

They would have to have some compelling evidence of malfeasance on the part of your mother, or the court will be angry with them for wasting its time. But they can contest it if they want to run this risk, they just probably won’t be successful.

Asterix vs Aspestus – Guardian of the Gates (For Theblooddragon92)

Since Theblooddragon92 made me an awesome Asterix video, I made one in return. This is the race between Asterix and Aspestus in The Twelve Tasks of Asterix. I would have put them talking too but the audio covered it up no matter how i edited it. Hope you like it!
We found a pit above our gym that is like 40 ft. deep! it leads down to the foundation. but we were scared of aspestus so we came back up.
