I started smoking a year ago, since then I have became an honors student, I got a part time job that pays $ 850 a month and only $ 100 is used on weed, I have made a lot more friends (both those who do and don’t smoke) and I’m overall much more happy and social than I have ever been.
I researched health effects and this is what I found, it does cause short term memory loss and paranoia (I don’t have these problems), it helps prevent and fight lung cancer, it has even cut the size of lung tumors in half. Here are the studies.

So then I turned to religion and as it turns out Jesus smoked Hashish, another form of marijuana. Also the name Christ is derived from him smoking.
There is nothing pathetic about it, I have fun high or not, I hang out with friends, go for walks, play games, even discuss philosophy. So why would someone have a problem with that?
by the way, no one has ever died of a marijuana overdose, though deaths have been attributed to being high they are usually scapegoats. A violent pothead is like a man with a vagina, you don’t see much of them.

im hard of hearing i have so much self hatred. i never accepted it i cant im 6 years old. i speak idont use sign langauge i know how to sign but i dont use it. i think it looks retarded. i punish myself each time i mishear someone. i feel so stupid. im embarssed everytime i meet people its humilating to be a person wth a disablity . i was raped at 20 and proably the first person that was glad it happened to the retard that i am. i feel like i want to die and for my family not to even have a funural. i have fanastys of people murdering me cutting me up. i wish i had cancer i dont want to be this fugly deaf idoit. i attempted sucide about more than 40 times as a teenager took full bottle fill of prescrition medication. only thing sadly happened was sezuire pass out wake up. and still not dead. i cant stand anything about me. when i was younger and teased in school i didnt report the kids like most disabled kids do. i went up to them i said you are right i am a idoit i allowed those kids to hurt me cause they werent doing anything wrong that i wasnt. i have emphysema cause i was born premature lost half lung as a baby i got emphysema at 19 before start smoking at 21 i cough all the time i think i may besecond stage now i really want to die. i weigh 78 im 5’3 i have a very low appiette i get angry i dont eat. i have emotional food advoiance disorder as well. i was wondering how much longer is your life span with emphysema that you cough every 30 seconds if i smoke entire 2 entire packs a day. i do smoke alot! or since i weigh 78 how low could i fast and starve to what weight would 100 percent kill you? like can anyone live at 5’3 30 pounds? please do not ask me to pray to god. i was baptized but i have refused him i dont want to go to heaven i wantto go to hell. because i dont want to live forever. god made me i dont like i actually hate what he made me. may be perfect in his image a f** up in mine! i love god but im not going with him i despise myself eyond words i just want to drop dead and never av to show y retarded face again!

Because I certainly do. I hate them more than Hitler hated the Jews. I hate them so much I am willing to kill anyone who smokes it. And I’m sure any non-smoker would kill them, too.
Marijuana is an extremely dangerous drug and it can cause lung cancer and brain damage. It is extremely addictive. People who use it are unsuccessful and don’t contribute to society.
If marijuana were to be legalized more people would use it and corrupt our society even further. Not surprisingly, everyone in favor of legalizing marijuana is a user.

I wouldn’t be surprised if all of them did. I know I do. I can’t find one single good thing about pot smokers or pot in general. Pot can lead to lung cancer and brain damage and everyone who uses it is a worthless drug addict who doesn’t care about their health or the law. I’m sick and tired of everyone saying that pot should be legalized and that everyone in prison is a pothead who needs to be freed. Everyone who smokes pot belongs in jail because they are too dangerous to be in our society. I think it should be mandatory for non-smokers to kill people who smoke weed.

I am a non smoker and I find your rant one of the funniest things I have read in a while.
ADDED: I work in the medical field and I would rather have a patient on medical marijuana then on pain pills, they are less prone to violence and the marijuana helps them more then pills do.

i don’t want to drink alcohol or do hard drugs
i don’t care about having sex RIGHT NOW with whoever I can find because waiting for someone special or at least someone i’ve known for a while and care about isn’t that hard.
People seem to think not doing any of this stuff is so hard.
I don’t understand why.
I’m only 15. I’ve never done done any drugs except some medicine when I’m sick. I have no interest in smoking any sort of substance because I don’t want to get lung cancer from inhaling. I live with parents who are FUNCTIONING alcoholics and I have no interest whatsoever in trying alcohol or getting drunk. And yeah. I’m still a virgin.
It wasn’t like this back in the day. Why is it like this now? Why do people think that they need to do these things, or do them before they’re old enough? People my age have the whole rest of their lives to try. Why do it now?
I feel really depressed. I feel like I’m the only innocent face in a sea of shit. I’m losing all my friends. And it’s not because, which you might think, that I’m acting like a bitch because i feel this way, when I’m with people in person. Because i’m not, and i put on a happy face, like always.
I’m losing my friends because I DON’T do this stuff. I don’t drink or smoke or have sex, ergo I’m not a fun person to hang out with to today’s standards.
And since everyone seems to think along these lines, I have no friends anymore.
I don’t want to be lonely.
And I also don’t want to do any of the stuff listed above.
And it’s not because I’m one of those sheltered, prissy, drugs-are-the-devil kids. I’m not.
I just am not interested in doing that. I’m afraid of death. I want to keep my body and my mind healthy. I want to live as long as I can, I’m afraid of organ failure and I’m afraid of cancer, and I’m especially afraid of addiction and drug dependency. And so, I don’t want to drink or smoke , or do any drugs. Sex can come when I’m ready. So can a lot of things. Realistically maybe I’ll even have a few drinks on my 21st birthday.
But more than I’m afraid of all of those things, I am afraid of loneliness.
I want my friends back more than I want to life long.
And some people will just say, ditch them, make better friends. But it’s not that easy to dump friends you’ve had for years and years.
I’m worried for myself because I’m afraid that I’m going to start drinking or smoking or doing drugs because I want to be accepted in our modern society.
To be wanted I have to. To be with other people I have to.
I can have fun without being high or drunk, but nobody else can.
I just want to be accepted, and I want to have friends again. I’m afraid of being alone.
I don’t know what to do.
I need serious advice.

I have some awesome friends who aren’t into sex and drugs and whatnot and im 20 years old. its not a big deal. I have been made fun of for being a virgin and it really hurt but i am confident with myself and I didnt let it take over me. To me, having sex with someone I dont have feelings for is unappealing and im not interested at all. but thats just how I am everyone is different. I dont know you but I think that you need to boost your confidence. stop trying to fit in and you will find your own niche. when people know you are sure of yourself and your decisions and are still having fun you will gain their respect, and also gain TRUE friends, not insecure people just trying to fit in with everyone else. only you know what is best for you. look for happiness within yourself and youll find that you dont need people as much as you thought. I like you because you remind me of myself. I was very similar 5 years ago..you march to the beat of your own drummer, and you are so young still! you have your whole life to grow as an individual. Each hardship with make you a stronger and better person. And about being afraid of death..a lot of people are thats normal but I wouldnt let it get in the way of you living a rich life full of many experiences, good and bad! best of luck, and HANG IN THERE

And I noticed the prescription drugs offered on tv? The side effects are MUCH worse than a pack a day (heart atttack, stroke, death, etc..) So why is smoking bashed so much by society and the media? Marijuana is more safe than alcohol, cigarettes, ‘pills’ or any other of the ‘substances’
- It doesn’t cause lung cancer
- it isn’t addictive
- you can be high and drive (cant be drunk and drive)
- it is known to cure certain ailments
… my theory is the government is either of two things:
1. Misinformed and ignorant to the facts
2. Upset that they cannot place high taxes on most of the Marijuana traffic because the majority is not produced in America … therefore they would not be making large amounts of money off of it like they do with Alcohol or Tobacco

I’m all for the right to advertise and I also am well aware that good ratings bring in high revenue for those commercials but, c’mon, a show starts its barrage of commercials 7-9 minutes after a show begins and we are subject to 4 minutes or so of commercials after about every 5 minutes of program.
I’m sick and tired of Flo at Progressive, that dude with Mesothelioma, that chick in the ugly sweater wanting me to join the AARP, and all the rest of them ad nauseum.
Thank God I have my DVR which allows me to record about 95% of the programs I want to see and then I can zip right right through those annoying wastes of time.
So, I ask you, which commercials do YOU abhor the most?

I think the student body are a bunch of impossible snobs, for example. Er, and about half of the professors too. That said, I actually found my experiences there to be vastly useful in dealing with everything else I’ve dealt with in the the real world. Even all the classes I hated too.
The thing is, I have all these awful memories of being literally ill all the time from 1) the asbestos/ twenty layers of dust in the shoreland 2) food poisoning, no fucking joke 3) severe sleep deprivation. So as badly as I want to get the hell out of my hometown again, I don’t know if I’m ready for all of that.
I’m considering getting my applied math degree at the University of Houston Downtown, but I’ve been having this really bad experience at community college where my professor gives these tests, on advanced mathematics topics, no less, multiple choice, on which there is no correct answer. And then when I ask him to deal with it, he just ignores me. I want to work with people who are competent…
