Heart cancer is an extremely rare form of cancer. Heart cancer is divided into primary tumors of the heart and secondary tumors of the heart. Most heart cancers are benign myxomas, fibromas, rhabdomyomas and hamartomas, although malignant sarcomas (such as angiosarcoma or cardiac sarcoma) have been known to occur…. In addition the heart can be affected by treatment for cancer in other parts of the body.

Question by J.B. Holiday: Did you hear about Bernie Mac’s illness?
Bernie Mac Hospitalized In Chicago With Pneumonia
CHICAGO – Bernie Mac is in a Chicago hospital with pneumonia.
His publicist, Danica Smith, says in a statement that the 50-year-old comedian is responding well to treatment and should be released soon. He remained hospitalized Saturday.
Smith says the pneumonia isn’t related to an inflammatory lung disease that Mac also has. That condition has been in remission since 2005.
Mac is a Chicago native who lives in the southern suburbs. He made waves last month with off-color jokes during a Chicago fundraiser for Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama.

why is it when i pass out i can talk & hear, but can’t move?
Question by some crazy kid: why is it when i pass out i can talk & hear, but can’t move?
i pass out for various reasons,
but no matter what,
i am always lying on the ground,
i cannot move, but i can hear people enough to make out what they’re saying and i can spit out some words that make enough sense to tell people i can hear them but i can’t move. it’s kinda scary, sometimes i just start crying for no reason while i’m stuck there.
i told my friend about it & she said it was like a disease.
i don’t think she’s right though.
i feel like in situations where everyone else would black out,
i’m still half conscious, but only the hearing and speaking part & having no control over my emotions at that point.
i don’t know, it’s a freaky kind of scary thing.
i’d just like to know why it happens like that.
i swim so my lungs have like a crazy capacity,
so maybe that might have something to do with me
remaining half conscious, but i have some kind of nose something obstruction disease that messes up my breathing, and i get enough oxygen with that aside when my blood pressure is low, but no matter how big my lungs get, it’s hard to get enough oxygen to my brain if i get up from resting, work out like crazy, or of course when i have to do underwaters (go whole pool length underwater without breathing).
before i pass out, i see lots of different colors and can’t see clearly, then blackout, fall down, then i can see and all the stuff above.

Hands down . . sarcoma . . almost no one has ever heard of sarcoma which is a type of cancer that affects the muscles, bones, joints, tendons, cartiliage, blood vessels and soft tissue within the body. It is a cancer than has been mostly ignored in the last forty to fifty years and yet it is a cancer that predominately strikes our youngest . .children, adolescents and young adults. Currently there are over 50-60 subtypes of sarcoma . . and almost all of them are aggressive and deadly. There has not been new treatment found for sarcoma in the last thirty years. Some of the subtypes are the most common found in childhood cancers and account for the high rate of deaths to cancer in children, adolescents, and young adults.
Sarcoma: A Forgotten Cancer
Among the subtypes of sarcoma are Rhabdomyosarcoma, Ewings sarcoma, Osteosarcoma, Liposarcoma, Fibrosarcoma, Synovial sarcoma, GIST, DSRCT, Angiosarcomas, Leiomyosarcoma, Uterine sarcoma, Epithelioid sarcoma, Alveolar soft part sarcoma, and Hemangiosarcoma . . . there are many others. Sarcoma can appear in any part of the body . . including bone or soft tissue.
It can strike any age group although the young are more commonly affected. Sarcoma can happen to both sexes, although males seem to get some subtypes almost 4 to 1. Sarcoma is a nasty disease. In most cases . . there are no known causes for sarcoma.

Where can I buy essiac tea? I hear that it may cure cancer?
Question by : Where can I buy essiac tea? I hear that it may cure cancer?
I heard some people talking about this product when I was in the hospital. Does anyone know if I can purchase it online? Do I need a prescription for essiac? Is it really a tea?
Best answer:
Answer by lo_mcg
Sorry, but you heard wrong. There is not a scrap of evidence that Essiac tea has any effect on cancer, much less cures it.
Clinical studies in the 1970s and 80s following up people who had taken Essiac showed no evidence of any change in expected disease progression.
Several animal tests using samples of Essiac have shown no antitumour activity. Nor did a review of data on 86 patients performed by the Canadian federal health department during the early 1980s .
If you want some background information:
Rene Caisse, who created Essiac in the 1920s, at first claimed the formula could strengthen the immune system, improve appetite, relieve pain and generally improve quality of life. It was only later that she began to claim it could attack cancerous tumours.
She wouldn’t allow researchers to investigate Essiac, refusing to reveal her ‘secret formula’. This fact didn’t stop her claiming years later that there had been a conspiracy to cover it up – the old fraud.
You will certainly be able to purchase it online – it’s heavily promoted by people wanting to make a fast buck from desperate and vulnerable people

I can hear and feel a rattle/vibration in my left lung right after inhalation (asthma related)?
Question by miss:D: I can hear and feel a rattle/vibration in my left lung right after inhalation (asthma related)?
I should let you know a little something about myself. I have asthma and I recently went to the doctors yesterday and asked them to check my lungs because I had symptoms of a cold (no fever, clear yellow phlem) and a bad cough (got better) which happened to be a viral infection. Viral infections (bronchitis? my doc was unable to see me so i saw another one and she didnt tell me if it it was bronchitis or not… i think it is) will go away on its own, but this rattle/audible vibration occurs right after an inhalation? Idk if you would call it wheezing because I know what wheezing feels like. I have found that out today and it is making me paranoid. Whats wrong with me? :/
I have also read that people who have COPD can develop lung cancer… do you think i might have this? I am only 21

OLTL: Did You Hear About Who Died …?
Question by Jewels: OLTL: Did You Hear About Who Died …?
Clint Ritchie (ex-Clint) was born on August 9, 1938, and he died on January 31, 2009 from complications of heart surgery. Ritchie portrayed the Buchanan patriarch on OLTL from 1979-2005, and passed at age 71 shortly following surgery to implant a pacemaker.
NEW YORK — Phil Carey, best known for his role as business tycoon Asa Buchanan in the ABC soap opera “One Life to Live,” has died. He was 83. Carey died at his New York City home Friday following a battle with lung cancer, according to ABC network officials. The death comes a few weeks after the passing away of another former “One Life to Live” castmember, Clint Ritchie, who originated the role of Clint Buchanan.
________________________________________________________
Both deaths came as a surprise to me. The last I heard, Phil Carey had beat his cancer. That’s why I was surprised when I read a few days ago that he’d died.
But Clint’s death was a shock! He died a few weeks ago, but I just found out a few minutes ago! I still see him as Clint Buchanan!
It’s truly the passing of a Golden Era of One Life To Live!!!

Q&A: Did anyone ever hear about a fungal infection that can take over a body because the immune system is weakened?
Question by lynnette m: Did anyone ever hear about a fungal infection that can take over a body because the immune system is weakened?
Less than a month ago, a friends 11 year old daughter was life lined to the Children’s Hospital. She had fainted and would not respond. After testing her, she was diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Lukemia. Her treatment plan was chemotherapy for 10 days, hospital stay of 20, home for 2 weeks. She had chemotherapy for 10 days, the following day, she was unresponsive, and the doctor’s did not feel she was going to pull thru the night. She did, and further testing revealed she had fungal lesions on her lungs, etc. They operated on her, and removed the lesions, did a bone marrow test, it is now negative for lukemia. It has been two days since the surgery, and we received word that the fungal infection is taking over her body, and there is pretty much no hope left for her. There is an experimental drug out there, but will not receive it before Friday, if she can hang on. Has anyone heard of this?

Q&A: Can a cancer patient hear if they have been given morphine?
Question by tasha: Can a cancer patient hear if they have been given morphine?
My grandma recently passed yesterday of lung cancer and they had her on a morphine drip. At first, she could open and close her eyes but near the end she was unresponsive. I also noticed that her mouth was drawed up. I was really surprised by this bc i don’t understand how cancer causes the lips to part over the teeth. My final question is that towards the end, I heard a gurgling sound as she was trying to breath, exactly what was that? I am sorry for all the ?s but am curious as to what happened to her. Like the exact dynamics of what happens when a cancer patient dies.
The nurse also said that her systolic blood pressure was 65 and that they could not detect a diastolic, exactly what would cause that?
Best answer:
Answer by Messykatt
I’m sorry this happened to your grandma. To answer your title question, yes they can hear. Hearing is the final sense that’s lost in the dying process, and this has been confirmed many times by people in deep comas, who come out of them and can recall what was said while they were “out”.
On the gurgling sound, this is very common and is sometimes called the “death rattle”, because it generally happens shortly before death. It usually occurs because the patient has lost the ability to cough and this causes fluid build-up.
Finally, on the BP, you may have them mixed up. The diastolic is always higher then the systolic, which measures the resting pressure against the vessel walls between heartbeats. When the systolic gets to zero, the heart is failing and isn’t contracting enough to generate the pressure.

The impact of industrial accidents on war production, with the resultant loss of manpower, produced demands for more current information. In 1942, the US Bureau of Labor Statistics undertook to collect and publish monthly data on injuries in almost 10000 establishments in industries of particular wartime importance. These were used by government agencies to pinpoint the plants and industries with high accident rates. Several special studies were conducted during the war, including an examination of the effect of long work hours on efficiency, output, absenteeism, and accidents. A study of operations at the Frankford Arsenal near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania l in 1941 showed that, when extended hours required exertion beyond the normal physical strength of the workers, there were more accidents, greater spoilage of material, greater turnover, and decidedly less production in the extended hours than in the regular hours. Further studies were made in 1943 and 1944. The Bureau conducted detailed studies of accidents in the foundry, longshoring, and slaughtering and meatpacking industries. The Bureau’s data were made available to the Department’s Labor Standards Division, and to the Maritime Commission for safety drives (from the bulletin The First Hundred Years of the Bureau of Labor Statistics was published by BLS in 1985 and available at www.bls.gov ). In 1944, the War Production Board reported that industrial accidents killed 37600 workers and injured 210000 permanently and …

I can see ghost or am I just crazy; Hear my story.?
Question by Jello The Hoe: I can see ghost or am I just crazy; Hear my story.?
Ever since I lived in a haunted house when I was five I remember waking up and a black fog went into my my face. I have a lot of remembers of seeing lost souls in that house. We ended up moving out of that house after half a year because I fled half way down the stair case until a woman in a old fashion wedding dress shinning in a white glow pick me up and my mother seen it all happen. We then soon moved into a house in a town known for it’s ghost and dreadful stories about the lost souls in the civil war. Well I been in this house for 7 years and I already seen my dead family members, seen/felt/heard/smelt sprites, capture the poor lost souls in photos, and last night I was talking to a ghost and it said my mom’s name and the word barrier. That scared because this week we have recently found out my mom has a large tumor and maybe lung cancer but were hoping not that. <3
This whole month I been waking up in “which hours” (3am-6am that is when ghost/sprites are suppose to be down to earth) to hear strange noises and cuts/scratches I have no reason for. I’m worried something might happen.
I believe that there are lost souls and sprites to revisit earth to their so called happy place.
I just think it is pretty messed up that a teenager has to go through with this almost everyday.
Like I’m a happy person and all but this is like something for people on “Ghost hunters” and all that.
Well just to let you all know I’m not lying about any of this and I think it’s truly sad if someone wants to lye about something like this. This is hard for people or I should say a little too much.
So do you think I see sprites or am I just crazy?
I want to know
