Okay. My dad is 50 years old. recently he’s been sick alot so he went to the docter. They told him it’s because he has a Hole in his heart. Everything i’ve found on it so far says you are born with it, however, Because my dad is a 3x cancer survivor (once a cancerous tumor,once lung cancer, and once lymphnode cancer) His heart has been checked NUMEROUS times, and it was not there before, so my question is, what couldhave caused the hole? he doesn’t smoke or anything likethat, if it helps.
He hasn’t gone through chemo or any type of cancer therapy in over 9 years so i doubt it… He does have severe depression though, because he’s been single for 16 years… and yes he’s been looking the wholetime so anyone saying “he needs a girlfriend” is a moron. WE KNOW THAT ALREADY not the point here.

one of my friends has a hole in his heart. He’s only sixteen and yes, he was born with it. They wanted to operate on it when he turns eighteen however it got bigger recently and they’ll probably have to operate on it sooner. It’s possible your dad was born with a very small hole, one that wouldn’t have caught any attention or cause any problems but recently got big enough to cause him to get sick.
I don’t think even my friend knows what caused his hole, so i don’t think i can help you much there. He had cancer, so maybe if he wasn’t born with it, it was caused by chemotherapy or radiation therapy. i don’t know how either of those would do that though.
I hope i’ve helped and i hope your dad gets better. from what you’ve said, he sounds like a pretty tough cookie.

I have asbestos shingles and i need to vent a portable a/c so i’m going to replace a few shingles with fiber cement board so i can cut them. i heard these things are a nightmare to cut.

A jig saw with a metal cutting blade will work. First, trace the hole you wish to cut on the surface, then drill one hole big enough for the jig saw blade to fit through. Then simply cut out your pattern.
CAUTION! Don’t breath in the dust since asbestos is a carcinogen. Get a filter mask at any hardware store.

I have to patch a hole in a popcorn ceiling. How do I do this? I’ve got a half sheet of drywall and I’m going to make the hole an even 2×2, then cut my 2×2 piece of drywall so it fits in there.
my questions is:
1. do I have to attach the replacement piece of drywall to the wood?
2. do I have to tape the seams?
3. how do i apply the popcorn without having to rent the equipment? is it possible to apply a little by hand?

Cut the hole such that you cut only half the width of the joist on each end. Use a utility knife. Put more screws on the part that is left. Scrape off about 4″ of popcorn around the hole. Screw in the new piece 8″ on center on both ends. Tape all around with paper tape set in normal joint compound. Let dry a day, sand if any high spots and add second layer of mud. Sand if need be and put on smooth third coat. Sand the next day. Get a pro in to spray to popcorn for you, it’s too hard to get right the first time you try.

Hmmm…Interesting situation. You would have to check with the local building inspector and zoning laws. If the soil is considered contaminated, depending on the size, you will have to consider the cost to you if the laws change and you need to remedy the situation before you sell the house. For example, where I am from in Massachusetts, before my friend, an auto mechanic, could sell his business property, he had to remove 30 tons of earth (approximately 3 triaxle trucks) at an expense of $ 75K.

My friend Willard has a hole in his lung, and they say it is too large to use a balloon in an attempt to correct the ailment. I believe in the power of prayer and am asking others to help me pray for him and a recovery. He lives alone and is always feeding the wild birds, and helps others with his jack of all trades talent and never takes money. He is not a saint, but just a nice person. he is 57 and has been disabled for some time now, he was able to get around slowly and now he can not even do that. I’d take Olive Leaf capsules for at least 120 days, and Noni juice, to heal it. And see if that helps, if it was me !!
Do a websearch on Olive Leaf for Healing….it’s amazing against fungus, bacteria and virues.

Warts are not caused by asbestos … they are caused by a virus .

for a while we thought we had mysterious cat litter in our house we went on vacation and came back to litter looking stuff behind the toilet then there was some just in a pile in the kitchen then there was some in our cabinet then it came out the bathroom hole again. but this time we realized u could hit the wall and more would come out.
it smells like mildew in there we were renting the house. i kept getting sick so did bf and my daughter got sick once. i had the idea it was mold for a long time then i asked someone who builds houses and they said it was asbestos i dont know what to think. we moved once it came out the wall the second time. from what i have seen on the internet asbestos doesnt look like kitty litter i could b wrong though. just need help im going crazywith this we still have to go in and clean out the place but it effects me to much so everyone else has to do it.
if i go in for 20 min i get a headache and my sinus start hurting but after i leave for an i only have pressure then goes away completely.
it has no smell and it doesnt catch on fire to someone told us to try that. its just weird
is three months to long to be around it and it cause problems and does it stay on stuff when u leave?

Probably vermiculite, an insulating material used at one time.
Not sure what it is made up of but I have been around it with no ill effects.
