REEF CARNESON’S JOURNEY WITH CHILDHOOD CANCER
*****ALL THE CREDIT FOR THE BEAUTIFUL PIECE OF MUSIC, “THE CLIMB”, GOES TO MILEY CIRUS***** Reef Carneson was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at the age of 5 months. A month into his first Chemotherapy, he went into renal failure, After emergency dialysis, which he survived, he continued with very aggressive Chemotherapy. 3 Months into treatment, he suffered violent seizures and was mistakenly treated for Epilepsy. He completed his Chemotherapy but did not go into remission. It was advised that he would need a bone marrow transplant. There was no suitable donor found in SA and after an extensive search, a donor was eventually found in Germany. Reef was placed in isolation, where he spent his first birthday. All his own bone marrow was killed off with a very high dose of Chemotherapy in preparation for the transplant. He swelled up so badly that he could not sit or even open his eyes. His lungs filled with fluid. He developed Chronic Graft Versus Host Disease, which could be fatal. One morning his blood pressure began to drop rapidly. It was discovered that he was in septic shock from an infection in the lines of the triple Hickman line which was keeping him alive. The Hickman line was removed and he was put on a ventilator. He swelled up again and developed Klebsiella Virus and a fungal infection in his blood. At this stage his Graft Versus Host disease was so bad, his body was covered with blisters and sores which tore with every move and the raw flesh stuck …

Journey through an Underground Base
This is a DUMB or Deep Underground Military Base which is 100ft under the ground. The total area is 35 acres and was designed to safely house up to 4000 central Government personnel in the event of a nuclear strike. Built in the 1950′s. There are DUMB’s all around the world now and ones which are being created right now, deep underground. That is not a secret anymore. I believe our governments and the selected few know about the real dangers of the coming solar flares and solar storms. There is evidence that there is a huge hole in the magnetic field protecting our planet earth and the combination of the extra sun activity and the damaged earths natural defense will have grave consequences for life as we know it on planet earth. Not just from the extra radiation getting through but from the riots and starvation which will happen when these flares knock out our electrical grid. 25 week preemie’s journey
This was a year of many blessings, and miracles. In may I (Lauren), gave birth to a premature baby boy, born 100 days early, weighing 1lb 6 ounces due to pre-eclampsia. Noah Ryan became the new addition to our family. From the beginning God has answered our prayers at every up and down. Noah proved to be a fighter and was on life support for months, we almost lost him a couple times and I begged God not to take my son from me and to guide me into his will. After 5 months of little change, we transferred Noah to Hope hospital, and that’s when they discovered a large cyst in his bronchial tube. Once removed he greatly improved ! His life alone is such an answer to prayer! He went from being dependent on a ventilator to cpap to nasal cannula! He went though 5 blood transfusions, multiple Ivs, steroid injections, multiple wires and tubes attached to him, living at a hospital for a total of 166 days! Then miraculously on Nov 8th 2011 our million dollar baby came home! Due to premature lungs, Noah has chronic lung disease making it difficult for him to breathe. We do not know when we will get off the oxygen. We are also praying for the day he can take a bottle, he currently can not due to fear of him aspirating, until then we’re planning a Gi button in January. I have fully recovered from my c-section, pre-eclampsia and hellp syndrome, and am adjusting with Noah being home. I’d be lying if I said life at home was easy, because it is not. New Cancer Mentality: Krystal Bocanegra on her journey fighting Peritoneal Mesothelioma
Krystal’s story begins almost 3yrs ago, when she suddenly began experiencing severe stomach pains and exhaustion. At the time, she contributed these symptoms to her body reacting to working too much, but her symptoms consistently kept getting worse and worse each month. Finally, after becoming too fatigued to work, Krystal decided to go see her primary care physician. After, a CT scan was taken and surgery completed to look at what was going on, Krystal was diagnosed with the rare cancer peritoneal mesothelioma. She comes today to inform our audience of her treatment and help others who may be going through similar circumstances she did.
