Could this be lung cancer?
Question by ueeee28: Could this be lung cancer?
Went to the hospital because I was having trouble breathing and sharp pain when I took a deep breath. They did a chest x-ray and it came back with a mass. I also had blood work hasn’t come back yet. There was also blood in my urine. The doctor there said she didn’t know what it was because I’ve had no symptom’s for pneumonia. I went to see my family doctor and she said my lungs sound clear but they did another chest x-ray. Also my lungs sounded clear at the hospital.
So I’m worried any advice.
I have asked my doc these question and because I just saw her today I have no answere. I was just looking for some insite. The mass was about the size of and averge fist. Also they are treating it as an infection but there not sure if that is what is cuz the blood work hasn’t come back yet.
Best answer:
Answer by thornezoo
Depends on what the “mass” is and if it is in your lungs or in the chest cavity. My mom had lung cancer for 10 years. She never smoked so that took us by surprise. It wasn’t the original tumor that killed her as that was removed.
If you’re concerned tell your doctor. My mom had her cancer diagnosed by a biopsy (took 12 samples of lung tissue). Blood in the urine is not related to your lungs.
Best to wait on the test results and blood work to come back.

Dr. Elie Saikaly, MD — Lung Cancer Treatment at The Everett Clinic
Dr. Elie Saikaly, MD is a practicing Oncologist at The Everett Clinic and the Medical Director of the Providence Regional Cancer Partnership. Lung cancer can be treated basically by three different modalities: there’s surgery, radiation therapy and chemotherapy. We’ve made advances in all of those over the years. My specialty is medical oncology, where we focus on the treatment of cancers with drugs, or chemotherapy. My part in treating lung cancer is in the chemotherapy treatment of it. We have seen the development over the last few years of several new drugs that are very exciting and have helped people with lung cancer and have prolonged survival, as well as quality of survival, over what it’s been in the past. How long does it take for lung cancer to start showing symptoms?
Question by : How long does it take for lung cancer to start showing symptoms?
I’m a 30 year old female; I smoked for about 12 years. I was looking through my military medical records (I’m active duty), and I came across some radiology reports from August 2006. I totally forgot about the x-rays (I had two sets). The findings of the first PA said “1.5 cm density in the medial left apex. The significance of this is unclear”. I had another PA and a lordotic about a month later. The findings were”Compared to the last exam. today’s PA view shoes slightly increased density slightly lateral to that previously seen. This could correspond to the previous observation. It is a rather faint density and may represent basically no pathology. This is not appreciated directly on the apical lordotic view.” I’m very worried now. This was over three years ago, and my doctor has never mentioned it. The military is typically very good about following up on test results. What does this mean?

I’d do a repeat x-ray and see what it shows.

Q&A: Which happens first…McCain dies of old age or Obama dies of lung cancer?
Question by 3rd parties for REAL CHANGE: Which happens first…McCain dies of old age or Obama dies of lung cancer?
For those that support Obama and like to point out McCain’s age and health…don’t throw stones if you live in a glass house!!!
I am not voting for either candidate, I just hate Liberals…especially the politically ignorant who think that after listening to a few Obama speeches that gives them a master’s degree in American politics.
He says he doesn’t smoke so you guys believe him…wow the sheep never cease to amaze me!
No… I hate liberals. I could have said, dislike, don’t care for, but I hate liberals.

Question by : What’s the youngest a child could develop lung cancer from second hand smoking?
If a child’s parents smoked, how long would it take, an approximate minimum, for it to be realistic that the child developed lung cancer because of second hand smoke.
(I’m writing a novel and need to know if it is realistic that one of the characters have developed lung cancer from second hand smoking by their parents as a child)

Could my father have lung cancer?
Question by : Could my father have lung cancer?
He thinks he does, and I’ve looked up the symptoms of lung cancer, and he’s got 4/5.
He can barely breathe, he says.
Apparently he has this very sharp pain in the entire upper base of his arm, and it’s constant.
He coughs up green/yellow phlegm. No blood, yet.
He has pain in his chest.
If you have any other symptoms I could keep an eye for, please list them. Thank you.

Q&A: What to expect with Lung Cancer.?
Question by : What to expect with Lung Cancer.?
My grandfather, at the age of 87 has been diagnosed with lung cancer. I believe from what the doctor told me. It should be in stage two. The doctor has informed me and him that surgery is out of the question, along with kemo. Also radiation is an option, but that would just make him sick and still may only give him a few more months. He has opted to just let it go. I would like to know what to expect, should I expect him to be in pain or anything i can do to help. I just want to be there for him like he was for me for so many years. He is like a father to me, seeing how he raised me…
Thx again.

I already have Cirrhosis, & now have Lung Cancer! Would now be a good time to adopt Christianity over Atheism?
Question by IMA SLUTPUPPY 4 U!: I already have Cirrhosis, & now have Lung Cancer! Would now be a good time to adopt Christianity over Atheism?
That’s right, Folks! I’m already dying from the “End Stages” of terminal Cirrhosis of the Liver (2 much hard Drinkin’ & Druggin’ in my youth!), and now, a “routine X-Ray” Friday revealed I now have Lung Cancer from Smoking added to my “Dance Card”! Thus far, I have remained Atheist and refused to Recant, but seriously, I’m starting to wonder if God isn’t trying to tell me something:
Like, this time, my luck’s all used up, and I’m not going to be getting out of this one alive!
What do you think? Should I give God a try, and accept Jesus into what’s left of my life?
