How to get rid of cough fast (even at night) video explains a simple breathing exercise to eliminate coughing in 2 minutes or less. This natural remedy for chronic or persistent cough was invented by Soviet physicians and tested on thousands of patients with cold, asthma, cystic fibrosis, COPD, emphysema, bronchitis, tuberculosis and many other health problems (even HIV-AIDS and lung cancer). Over 90% of people with chronic cough could testify that they could get rid of cough really fast. The exercise also is the foundation of Buteyko breathing exercises to increase body oxygen levels. It can be used to get rid of cold and cough at the same time since it increases body oxygen levels. There are 3 exercises how to get rid of cough fast. The Main Benefits Of Pulmonary Rehabilitation: A Physician’s Opinion
The Main Benefits Of Pulmonary Rehabilitation: A Physician’s Opinion
Article by Gardner
Lung diseases can have life-long implications on your health specially because they leave your lungs weak and in need of strength to function normally. It is very important that you go for pulmonary rehabilitation sessions under the guidance of specialists who will help you regain completely healthy lungs. In most cases, you must avail this service from well established community hospitals in your area that is sure to have a set of lung specialists dedicated to this therapy.
The therapy starts with breathing training that concentrates on regulating the inhalation and exhalation cycle. This training is assisted with appropriate medication and nutritious diet. The patients are also educated in dealing with lung diseases and energy conservation practices. Thus, your health gets the much needed boost after the onslaught of the diseased condition.
Following are the main benefits of undergoing pulmonary rehabilitation after every attack of a lung disease.
Shortness of breath can be a painful experience that needs immediate medical attention every time there is an attack. With pulmonary rehabilitation, the frequency of symptoms of short breaths reduces.
This procedure increases tolerance of the lungs to exercise. During daily activities, your lungs have to be in good shape to provide you the required amount of energy throughout the day. This functional capacity of the lungs increases with this rehabilitation.
The procedure promotes personal well being and gives you ample scope to undertake heavy tasks without the fear of going breathless. Therefore, after the rehabilitation session you can undertake any kind of work that you wanted to do.
Prepares you adequately for any possible chronic lung disease. Not only do these sessions make your lungs strong enough to prevent the onset of a chronic problem, but also make you aware of possible causatives of any lung damage.
Helps reduce hospitalizations and emergencies in your health conditions. These crucial moments cause anxiety amongst your near and dear ones. In order to treat the condition and obtain cure, a great deal of money is spent. You will be able to reduce these uncalled for expenses if your lungs are strong and functioning well.
In short, the main benefit of going through pulmonary rehabilitation is that it increases functionality and independence of the individual undergoing the therapy.
According to experienced physicians Idaho Falls, ID, patients have found a great deal of relief from their repeated lung problems by following every cure with a pulmonary rehabilitation therapy.

Mom’s vigil ends with killer’s release
Apr. 19, 2008 12:00 AM
The woman pulls out the slightly battered notebook, the one with page after page of precise notations on the monthly movements of the man who murdered her only son.
For 20 years, Jane Fausel has been keeping track of a life to atone for a death. On Sunday, her son’s killer, an illegal immigrant, gets out of prison and she’s wondering who will keep track of him now.
“How can we prevent him from re-entering our country?” Jane asked me. “I called. I talked to 11 people in the last two days. Nobody can give me any answers.” advertisement
That’s because there is no answer.
At least no acceptable one as long as our leaders in Washington refuse to do, well, anything. (Jane will have to excuse them as this is an election year and not a convenient time to address that hunk of Swiss cheese we call a border.)
Jane, 67, is herself an immigrant, having come from China the legal way when she was 25. She married and raised a family, then saw her world crumble 20 years ago next Friday, when the phone rang in the dead of night.
Jane already knew that something was terribly wrong. It was after 1 a.m. and her son wasn’t home. Billy was 22, but he always called if he was going to be late. He was putting himself through college, studying engineering and hoping to one day start a computer business. Meanwhile, he lived at home to take care of things, things his dying father could no longer do.
Billy had been out that Sunday evening with a 19-year-old woman he met while working at Motorola. He’d eaten dinner with her family, played basketball with her brother, and then he and she left to go play miniature golf.
They had just returned around midnight when 19-year-old José Armondo Rodriguez appeared out of nowhere, opened the car door and attacked. Over and over, he stabbed Billy, who tried to get away but could get no further than the front yard. Thirteen times, he plunged that knife into Billy’s lungs, his neck, his stomach. For good measure, he also punched Billy in the face a few times as he lay there on the ground, dying.
Rodriguez blamed it on drugs and jealousy. He’d been briefly married to Billy’s date the previous year, but she left when he beat her up.
He was offered 20 years, which is surprising given his lengthy rap sheet and the brutality of the attack. But Jane’s husband was dying of cancer and wanted to see his son’s killer put away.
Jane would take it from there.
Every month around the time of Billy’s death, she called the prisons to make sure Rodriguez was there, that he hadn’t escaped or been paroled. For 20 years, she’s tracked his every move.
“He plea bargained with the judge and I plea bargained with the Lord,” she said. “I said, ‘Let me live another 20 years. I want to make sure that SOB stays behind bars for the full 20 years and after 20 years, you can take me.’”
Last summer, Jane was diagnosed with lung cancer. God willing, she won’t be held to her end of the bargain. But she knows that Rodriguez has finished his. “He served his term,” she said. “It’s only fair for him to leave the jail.”
But then what, she wonders. What assurances do we have that a convicted killer – a man who’s lived here since he was a kid – won’t be back?
ICE spokesman Vinnie Picard says Rodriguez will be taken to Nogales Sunday and agents will watch him cross into Mexico.
And that, as they say, will be that.
Will it? The fight over a wall rages on and the virtual fence is a flop and the last of the National Guard at the border will be gone by July.
Jane wanted to see Rodriguez off tomorrow and tell him never to come back, tell him even to turn his life around. Instead, she says she will stay home, say a prayer and hope for the best.
Jane’s watch, you see, is over.
The question is, who’s watching now?

No there is no cure for cancer, but there is treatment that can lead to cure. Cancer is not one disease. Cancer is over 200 separate disease types. Cancer is complicated because it exists in four stages. The four stages will determine how to treat the patient and may give valuable information in relation to survival.
Stage 1 of any cancer is ‘easier’ to treat and cure is a real possibility. Stage 4 is very difficult to treat and risky but there are survivors.
The main types of cancer depend entirely upon your age, sex, and the country that you live in.
Lung, breast, skin, and colon cancer are more common among older adults. Brain tumors, sarcoma, neuroblastoma, and leukemia affect younger people. The American Cancer Society tracks cancer trends in the US and can provide the exact statistics:

General Discussion
Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis is an inflammatory lung disorder of unknown origin (idiopathic) characterized by abnormal formation of fibrous tissue (fibrosis) between the tiny air sacs (alveoli) or ducts of the lungs. Coughing and rapid, shallow breathing occur with moderate exercise. The skin may appear slightly bluish (cyanotic) due to lack of circulating oxygen. Complications such as infection, emphysema or heart problems may develop.

Question by Jack S: jut one paragram to explain the main idea and prbolem about this article, please!?
A diagnosis of prostate cancer is scary enough. But just as scary is that nobody can tell a man the best way to treat it.
This month, the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality issued a sweeping review of prostate cancer treatments, including surgical removal, radiation, hormone therapy and so-called watchful waiting, which involves careful monitoring but no active treatment until the cancer shows signs of growing.
Because none of these treatments emerged as superior, the agency came to the troubling conclusion that it could not recommend one over the others.
“Having been involved in this area for a long time, it was not shocking, but it is disappointing,” said Dr. Timothy J. Wilt, lead researcher on the report, from the Minneapolis Veterans Affairs Center for Chronic Disease Outcomes Research. “Information is really lacking to determine whether over all one treatment is more effective and preferred.”
Prostate cancer is the single most common cancer in the United States and the second most lethal among men after lung cancer. In 2008, the American Cancer Society estimates, 186,320 men will learn that they have it and 28,660 will die from it. The estimates for breast cancer are 182,460 and 40,480.
Prostate cancer is often diagnosed with a blood test that looks for prostate-specific antigen, P.S.A. There is widespread consensus that the test casts too wide a net, resulting in overdiagnosis and overtreatment. And the treatment can be devastating, leaving men impotent, incontinent or both.
The reasons behind the lack of data on prostate cancer are complex. A lack of financing and advocacy have roles. But so does the fact that prostate tumors grow slowly and can take 10 or more years to turn deadly. Not only does that make the disease particularly expensive and time consuming to study, but it is also a built-in disincentive for the drug industry, which typically has patent protection from 7 to 20 years.
A bigger obstacle to finding answers may be the patients, who have long been reluctant to participate in clinical trials, and their doctors, who tend to scorn such trials because they are already convinced that their chosen treatment is the best option.
One major clinical trial called Spirit, for Surgical Prostatectomy Versus Interstitial Radiation Intervention Trial, would have compared surgical removal with brachytherapy, which involves implanting radioactive seeds. Just 56 of the 1,980 needed patients enrolled, and the trial was called off in 2004.
“Men don’t go into the clinical trials,” said Dr. Daniel P. Petrylak, associate professor of medicine and director of the genitourinary oncology program at the Columbia University Medical Center. “That’s the whole problem. Patients ask me all the time, ‘What is the best treatment?’ And I can’t give them an evidence-based approach for that, because we don’t have the data.”
Prostate doctors and patient advocates often compare their cause with that of the other leading sex-specific cancer: one of the largest prostate cancer support groups is called Us Too, a play on the Y-ME National Breast Cancer Organization. The dismal state of prostate cancer research and advocacy pales in comparison to the campaign against breast cancer.
“We’re at least a decade behind where breast cancer awareness is,” Thomas Kirk, president of Us Too, said. “We need to catch up. The lessons learned by breast cancer are the ones we’re trying to apply to prostate cancer.”
Prostate cancer groups have tried to replicate the success of the pink ribbon campaign with their own blue ribbon, but it has yet to gain widespread acceptance. A group advocating the development of imaging technology for prostate screening created a mascot, Prosty the Spokesgland, complete with a theme song, to the tune of “Frosty the Snowman.” Not surprisingly, it has not caught on, either.
Government spending for prostate cancer lags, too. In 2007, the National Cancer Institute spent an estimated $ 551.1 million on breast cancer research and $ 305.6 million on prostate cancer. For 2008, the Defense Department, which has a history of supporting health research, has allocated $ 138 million for breast cancer and $ 80 million for prostate cancer.
Prostate cancer researchers say the real problem is not so much financing as enlisting doctors and patients on board for clinical trials.
By 2010, men should have some answers from Pivot, the Prostate Cancer Intervention Versus Observation Trial, which is comparing surgical removal with watchful waiting. Results of studies looking at P.S.A. screening as well as the preventive benefits of the supplements vitamin E and selenium are also expected in a few years
