Q&A: Is there something safer to smoke than tobacco.?
Question by thewraithlordkourn: Is there something safer to smoke than tobacco.?
I have been smoking shisha, a type of tobacco, for a few years now on rare occasion. I do not smoke anything else, but enjoy the sensation and the social opportunities that smoking out of a hookah can bring. However, I still know that tobacco causes lung and heart disease, among other disadvantages. So is there something that I could smoke that would in some ways be safer and healthier?
For those about to answer, yes I already know that smoking isn’t great for me, so you don’t need to tell me to stop smoking. Also, Marijuana has been shown to be MUCH lmore unhealthy than tobacco.
Also, while “no” is technically a valid response, it does not really solve the issue and is therefore not a complete answer.

Is there something wrong? Or am I just paranoid? ?
Question by Wasn’t me.: Is there something wrong? Or am I just paranoid? ?
I’m 13 and whenever I see the symptoms of a disease (e.g Kidney Failure, Depression and Lung Cancer) I automatically think I have the disease. It’s like I diagnose myself. So the odd thing is, I convince myself I suffer from the symptoms. I’d reach back to things that happened in the past and link it with the disease. (e.g: I’d remember getting a back pain two months ago, so I link that back pain with kidney failure)
Maybe I’m paranoid, big deal. But what if it’s something worse? Like, do I have an anxiety disorder?
Lately, I’ve convinced myself of Depression. Now, I think I’m sad and angry, but when I observe myself, I’m still out with my friends, pulling jokes and laughing.
The fear of having the disease goes away after I talk to a professional, who can diagnose me or not. With the Kidney Failure thing, I talked to my diabetic doctor and he said I was fine. So I discarded my fears and moved onto something else.
I was upset one day, so I looked up depression. Then (since I was sad) it was the perfect mental environment for me to tell myself I was depressed. Then I have a constant fear of having depression that I actually get depressed…
confusing, I know. I’m one with the many 30% of freaks on this planet
Any advise on what to do?
LOL. Thanks. But, I have type 1 diabetes. You don’t have to be over-weight. I was diagnosed when I was 2. Simply by Genetics. You make it sound like I chose to have it!
If I had my way, It would be gone.

Sounds like paranoid schizophrenia or OCD, or both. But you should seek a doctor if this is bothering you. The symptoms could escalate out of your control.

COPD or Lung Cancer…or something esle what do you think?
Question by Kevino: COPD or Lung Cancer…or something esle what do you think?
Well it has been almost a month and the symptoms have not changed. I have been to the hospital many times in addition its for the same diagnoses bronchitis.
Here are the symptoms:
Small fever barely noticeable
Coughing up white fleme with some blood at times (Cant be from coughing I usually try not to cough to ruff so I dont get another infection)
The blood is sometimes a lot in the morning, im guessing since im laying down and its not probably going down to my stomach
So what the hell could it be? I am usually good at researching these things but I just cant figure it out.
I always get bronchitis no matter what or some type of respitory infection….My only guess could it be my contacts harboring bacteria?
Well let me know what you think, I am scared it could be something like Lung Cancer….
Well anyway they took sooo many blood samples and they found nothing unusual.
The only thing unusual was my oxygen levels where low at 94 percent instead of 100 or more.
Non Smoker
Social Drinker

Well if you have a fever then you must have an infection. This would fit in with bronchitis (but not with lung cancer!).
As to why you keep getting chest infections, I don’t know. I doubt you can blame your friends for infecting you, unless they’re also in and out of hospital with infections. COPD can present with repeated infections, but they’d probably have noticed it by now.
If I were you, I’d go to my doctor and ask them. They’re the experts, so can give you the most reliable advice.
Good luck!

Is this something serious going on with my body? Please help!?
Question by : Is this something serious going on with my body? Please help!?
I am 20 and on Monday. I originally went to my doctor for a swollen lymph node on the left side of my neck that I discovered 4 months ago without any symptoms that would indicate lymphoma except for the lump, and that same morning I was to go to the doctor I came down with a sore throat.
Anyway he checked my swollen lymph node and prescribed me antibiotics, asked me a series of question on if I have allergies and referred me to get a chest X-ray to make sure its not lung cancer, took a blood test to check for infection or Leukemia. He also told me Worse Case Scenario would be the “C” word like lymphoma, Lung cancer, or Leukemia and I NEVER smoke or drink. Anyway the same day I came from the doctor on Monday I found two more swollen Lymph nodes one above my collar bone and the other about one is about 2 inches from my original lymph node.
Also today I have been having a congested nose and blowing out mucus, my throat is STILL sore, but not as bad as Monday and I have been having a sore dull pain on the left side of my tongue(not the surface of tounge) all the way in the back on the side and when I looked at my tongue its like I have some swelling on that side as well as some dark veiny streak and when I touch it it hurts. No pus it coming out it just hurts a little and is causing my teeth on the left side to hurt as well as my throat on the left side. I don’t know if this is normal? My jaw also hurts on the left side, but I’ve already had my wisdom teeth taken out last year cause I use to get this same pain when my wisdom teeth were coming in, but it stopped when I had them taken out. Now the pain returned a little. I don’t know what’s going? It’s just that since the doctor told me the terrifying news on what MIGHT be I have just been freaking out like crazy! Am I dying? Is this something serious? Am I truly over reacting? IS this normal?
I have been taking Advil for the pain which has been helping ALOT with the pain

Want to learn something about recreational drugs?
Question by philosophy major: Want to learn something about recreational drugs?
Recreational Drugs
Some people take recreational drugs; it seems like a fact of life. Their use has been around since the dawn of man. They were historically taken in a religious setting but now are used for enjoyment, medication, and inspiration. Obviously not using drugs is the healthiest option but I doubt humanity will ever fully discontinue using recreational drugs. Since their use is so common and widespread I thought I might write out some facts about the most popular ones so if you do decide to use any of them you know the effects, risks, etc and can make a more informed decision.
Caffeine- Caffeine is a stimulant that effects the cardiovascular and nervous system. It is legal and easy to obtain. It causes increased heart rate, blood flow, metabolic rate, and respiratory rate. It increases alertness, elevates mood, and decreases fatigue. With frequent use the user runs the risk of becoming chemically dependent to caffeine. Withdrawals from caffeine can cause difficulty concentrating, nausea, anxiety, and insomnia. It is possible in extreme amounts to overdose on caffeine and permanently damage the cardiovascular system and possibly result in death.
Tobacco (Nicotine)- Nicotine is a stimulant that effects the cardiovascular and nervous system. It is legal and easy to obtain. Using nicotine causes increased alertness followed by a sense of relaxation; it also reduces appetite. With frequent use the user runs the risk of becoming chemically dependent on nicotine. Nicotine withdrawals can range from insomnia, weight gain, constipation, anxiety, restlessness, and difficulty concentrating. In extreme dosages nicotine use can result in overdose (usually with patches). Using tobacco products has been shown to cause various kinds of cancer depending on the method of use. Mouth, lung, throat, bladder, larynx, kidney, stomach, etc.
Alcohol (Ethanol)-Ethanol is the depressant found in alcohol, it effects the nervous system and thins the blood. It is legal and easy to obtain. Using ethanol causes euphoria, reduction of inhibitions, and gradual decrease of motor skills depending on dosage and tolerance. Frequent ethanol use can result in chemical dependence and in higher dosage overdose. Ethanol withdrawals can be very severe and range from depression, nausea, headaches, shakes, and cold sweat. If you are chemically dependent on ethanol you should consult a doctor, as Detox can be fatal if not done properly. Ethanol has also been shown to cause various cancers such as, mouth, throat, liver, larynx, etc. It also has been shown to cause serosis and damage various organs in your body (esp. liver)
Strong Psychedelic Drugs (LSD, Psyliocybin, Peyote, Salvia Dinorum)- They are hallucinogenic drugs that effect your nervous system and chemicals in the brain. Using these drugs cause changes in mood, distortion of reality, dissociation, synathesisa, and hallucinations with all senses. You cannot become chemically dependent to any of these drugs but you can become psychologically dependent to them. This means that you feel a psychological need to use the drug but you will not suffer any chemical withdrawals if you discontinue use. These drugs effect how you think and perceive the world in a very powerful way. The quality of your experience depends on your mood before use, the location you take them in, and the people you are around. Based on these conditions you may have a positive, life changing experience or a negative, horrifying experience. Because of this risk it is recommended you have an experienced sitter who is there to watch over you and console you. The sitter is also there to make sure you don’t do anything dangerous or stupid while you are hallucinating. If you have previous mental issues these drugs may make them worse. They effect how you think and may cause you to bring up old issues and cause mental distress or even a mental breakdown.
Hard illegal Drugs (Meth, Cocaine)- These drugs are considered hard because like alcohol they have a high rate of chemical dependency and severe withdrawal symptoms. They are also highly illegal. When used they cause euphoria, altered mood, increased alertness, insomnia. They have a high risk of chemical dependence and their withdrawal can be fatal. They are similar to other stimulant withdrawals but more severe. If you have a chemical dependency to these drugs then you should consult a doctor since the withdrawal can result in death.
Smart drugs, Pharms (Rx drugs)- Prescription drugs are relatively easy to get and are legally distributed by the medical companies. Their use causes a wide range of symptoms including, altered mood, relaxation, increased alertness, sedation, reduced inhibition, among others. Rx drugs use in higher frequency can result in chemical dependence and in higher dosage can result in overdose. Rx withdrawals can be very severe and you should consult a doctor when discontinuing their use because the withdrawals can be fatal. T
Cannabis is weed..
Psilocybin is the active ingredient in shrooms…
obviously you need to learn a few things
yahoo answers cut out the cannabis section(not enough room) sorry!
Cannabis (THC)-THC is a mild psychoactive drug that effects the nervous system found in the buds of the cannabis plant. It is illegal but fairly easy to obtain. Its effects are highly varied depending on (location, mood, etc see strong psychoactive drugs) however the most common are, increased sensory experience, altered sense of time, increased appetite, change in thought process, euphoria, relaxation. The over load of sensory experience can cause short-term memory loss for the duration of the high. You cannot become chemically dependent on THC but you can become psychologically addicted (psychological need to use, no withdrawals when use stops). There has never been an overdose of THC and many believe that although it is theoretically possible in use it is impossible to use that much THC. If you use THC by smoking the buds of the plant the smoke from the burnt plant matter can irritate the lungs. Other methods of THC use such as inhaling THC vapor or digesting activated THC

Ur lymph nodes draw out infection from ur body they take in the infection which makes them swell, now it sounds like u have a throat infection which is causing the nodes , cancer doesn’t tend to affect young people seen as ur 20 u should be fine also apparently cancer ‘doesn’t hurt’ ur doctor seems a bit dramatic to tell u that with out knowing anything else/ results.
There are so many reasons why lymph node can be raised very few of which are cancer related.
So relax I’m sure U’ll be fine ![]()

Most of the food available today is tainted, with things like bio-engineered foods (aka GMO’s which have been found to cause cancer, lung failure and reproductive failure in animal tests ), HFCS, aspartame (which causes brain damage) and other artificial sugars…http://www.thefitshack.com/2007/03/28/what-is-crystalline-fructose/
….there is fluoride, chlorine and other heavy metals (as well as prescription drugs: http://www.sciencenews.org/articles/20000401/fob1.asp … wow, huh?) in most of our drinking water. It’s been found that Fluoride is actually more damaging than beneficial.

So many things on the market seem to be dumbing us down, hurting our brains, and causing health problems which people try to fix with mainstream drugs, which usually leads to other things as well.

The CDC had been working on a report about the Great Lakes and had known there were “hot spots” affecting major population areas (Milwaukee, Chicago) with near-toxic water that is dramatically increasing levels of cancer, birth defects, etc. and they sat on the info. Just recently has the press found out and made mention of it but after a day the topic died.
GARDASIL, the HPV vaccine that recently came into the market and is now being pushed by some school districts in various states has been showed to actually increase the liklihood of the strains it does not protect against. In fact, a lawsuit has been in place for at least a year and they state “Of the 1,637 adverse reactions to Gardasil reported to the FDA since the drug was on the market, there were 371 serious reactions. Of the 42 women who received the vaccine while pregnant, 18 experienced side effects ranging from spontaneous abortion to fetal abnormalities.”
Aspartame, the sweetener used in diet sodas and tons of other products, is toxic! It’s been proven to cause serious health and mental health problems and is banned in one state already with Arizona currently trying to ban it. Yet when you buy a diet Pepsi or Coke… there it is!
Remember the big “Bird Flu” scare and how talk was we would all need to take a vaccine to keep us safe? Several KEY POLITICIANS, including the Sec. of Defense and Sec of Health were key players in the company that was selling the vaccine!
So yeah… there’s a lot of WTF IS GOING ON? questions

There are currently these books/dvds on KBDI.org, talks about The RaveDiet and others. you can go to KBDI.org see it, the Rave Diet is avail on Amazon. Seems interesting, but, buyer beware, there are always testamonials about curatives foods/herbs etc. While it is true, diets high in fatty foods/ processed/refined foods increase risks of all diseases/illnesses, not always curative by diet alone. Exericise, not smoking, only use hormones/BCP as long as you need to, etc. Some cancers do go into remission and people think they’ve been cured, then it comes raging back… others are beyond the 5 yr mark post treatments of chemo/radiation/surgery. Higher fiber diet/more veggies, less fat/meat/chicken/dairy supposedly are healthier for lower cholesterol levels, better for the GI tract/healthier for the heart, But, people still become ill, inspite of doing everything right. Why do babies/kids get cancer? some genetics/some environmental, kids, who haven’t even lived their lives? or some are born with it. too sad, devastating.

Anxiety or heart failure or something else?
Question by Crying: Anxiety or heart failure or something else?
i have smoked cannabis for almost 6 years now, at least 2 grams everyday, aswell as cigarettes, im now 17, so a few weeks back i smoked 1 joint with 2 of my friends, so i did not have much, and as i was walking home my world turned upside down, i could not feel my body from the neck down, and everything felt very.. “unreal”, my heart was beating at 140bpm (i know this because i called for an ambulance, but read on) so my heart was beating at 140bpm and i felt like i was going to drop dead, but i know it was not caused by the actual cannabis i had smoked on the day (it was not laced), this was my body paying me back for 5 years of abusing cannabis, i had felt like this in the recent past after using cannabis, but only very very mild, this time it was EXTREME, so when i got home i called for an ambulance in fear that i was having a heart attack, but i am also a VERY paranoid person (take that into account – again a symptom of cannabis abuse) so i got to the hospital and after waiting for 2 hours, still no doctor, by this time i felt better so i discharged myself, i got home and went to sleep, when i got up in the morning that was it, CANNABIS-I QUIT, on the spot (4 weeks later now and i have not even smelt the scent of cannabis) because to be honest what happened and what is happening is scaring the living daylights out of me, so 2 nights after i went to the hospital i was gaming as i usually do on my PC, and all of a sudden i became aware of my heartbeat, i was short of breath (but this time i did not have the “unrealness” feeling) again i thought i was having a heart attack, so i called for an ambulance again, when it arrived my BPM was 120, on the way to the hospital it settled down to around 85, so this time i stayed in the hospital and waited a painstaking 5 hours to see a doctor (so long because i did not have any chest pain to speak of), i sat down with the doctor, he listening to my heart, looked at a little scan that was monitoring my heart rate in the ambulance and said.. you are fine you can go home now, I WANTED TO PUNCH HIM!, and every so often since then i suffer from the following symptoms – shortness of breath, tight chested with small sharp pains, dizziness, a little feeling of unrealness, awareness and increasing of my heart beat, i have come to a decision that it is 1 of 2 things, the first and preferred one being anxiety, and the second one which i am dreading is heart failure. but the thing is i seem to diagnose myself with a new illness everyday, from superficial vein thrombosis, swine flu, lung cancer/disease, and the big one DEATH! i am just so paranoid and ANXIOUS that i think i am going to die, i still smoke cigarettes but i quit cannabis the day this started. my symptoms seem to accure when i smoke cigarettes, but not all the time, sometimes it just starts with no trigger, other than my mind thinking that i am going to die.
i am sorry for the huge wall of text but i am just not in the mood right now to perfect an essay, im trying to sooth my heart which is almost beating out of my cheat.

it is not uncommon for cannabis to trigger an anxiety disorder, sadly, you will likely be stuck with the disorder for life. I would recommend that your best course of action would be to consult a psychiatrist and a mental health professional to learn the best course for coping with a severe anxiety disorder.

Does smoking cigarettes cause brain damage due to lack of oxygen or something?
Question by Acim: Does smoking cigarettes cause brain damage due to lack of oxygen or something?
One of my friends keeps telling me tobacco and the smoke produced by it is neurotoxic. Any insight on this? Please only serious answers, I do not smoke cigarettes but I’ve never thought of them as brain-damaging and can’t find information online. Don’t post all this stuff about how smoking causes lung cancer — we already know that.
The only thing I could think of in cigarettes (other than all those chemicals) that could cause brain damage would be the lack of oxygen, which I believe is what produces that dizzying nicotine buzz.

Answer by ChemoAngel
Spots on the lungs other than cancer are called solitary pulmonary nodules which are oval shape or round lesions seen on the chest x-ray and CT scan. These spots are benign. One reason is inflammation of the granular tissues due to infection on the lungs. This infection can be due to fungus like Cryptococcus, histoplasmosis, coccidioidomycosis and aspergillosis. TB (Tuberculosis) is other condition which causes spots on lungs.
These spots or solitary pulmonary nodules can also be due to some other diseases like rheumatoid arthritis or sarcoidosis. Chest injury can also result in to lung spots.
Another common non cancerous spot in lungs is hamartoma which is a clump of tissues.
After confirming spots on lungs by x-ray or CT scan, a repeat CT scan is recommended after every six months for 2 years to know the growth of the lesion. If spots don’t grow in size for the 2 years then these are noncancerous.
Don’t think about lung cancer yet….it could be nothing…I wish her luck.

Cancer or something else?
Question by Yvonne: Cancer or something else?
My mom has been fighting cancer for quite a long time now, originally diagnosed with breast cancer in 2000.Since then,it spread to her lungs in 2005 and her hip bone just this past winter. She did intense radiation in March and was put on stronger chemo drugs to fight it.(Has been on chemo, period, every week for 2 years straight now.)About a month ago,her right leg started hurting pretty badly. Her doctor said it was her sciatic nerve and was given everything from narcotic skin patches to muscle relaxers to help with the pain, along with physical therapy. It’s been a month and the pain is worse than ever, limiting her to all but complete bedrest. She insists it is arthritus or a disc in her back giving her trouble, but my sister and I are afraid the cancer has spread to her spine. She cannot stand or sit in a chair for more than 2 minutes at a time, and has to lay flat on her back in order for the pain to be bareable. The pain in her hip was never this severe,so I am not sure what is wrong…
Would bone cancer be causing this much pain? And can it spread so quickly they cannot catch it?She’s been on chemotherapy since 2005 and the cancer spread from her lungs to her hip while on treatment, so it wouldn’t be suprising if it spread again.I am afraid I know the answers to all these questions, but am looking for other’s opinions or experiences.Thank you so much in advance.
She is having an MRI tomorrow afternoon, getting the results next Wednesday. Was given Flexoral (sp?) muscle relaxers because her back was bothering her from the way she would have to sit when she was working.

I apologize, but I know nothing about cancer except that my grandfather died from it in 1989. I’d contact the American Cancer Society, and try to get some information from them, you may also try to talk to an oncology professor ( if he will see you) to ask him for information. I apologize again for my lack of knowledge, but I hope you get the information you seek.

Do I really have ADD or could it be something else? Help?
Question by : Do I really have ADD or could it be something else? Help?
Here is the situation. I am a college student and have struggled my way here. I am a junior, and I am transferring to a very good school this fall. I also work at a bank, as well as at a store’s customer service dept.
When I was about 2 years old my mom explained to me I had extreme obsessive tendencies, however I always would just blow it off and disguise the behavior as normal. But, as I sit and think more about the situation, what two year old would sit in her room for hours with zip lock bags and bag everything? And, is it that normal for a two year old to throw a huge fit if she her mom wouldn’t let her spend almost an hour putting her socks on in the morning. Well, these weird and somewhat obsessive behaviors followed as I grew. I vividly remember when I was in grammar school I would get into argument with my parents that would escalate into hours and hours of screaming and me throwing stuff all over. I also remember these arguments would be caused by my parents trying to revise one of my homework assignments or something similar to that nature. From age five or six, until I hardly spent any time at home at age 18, these vicious arguments would occur usually 3, and upwards of 8 times a month. It was draining and crazy. This made my childhood a bit difficult, not to mention I am not a person to talk about my feelings easily, but rather lash out and destroy my cell phone or something. I also feel that my teenage years have been traumatic, not only because of the intense fights, but also because of deaths in my family. About six years ago my beloved grandpa was diagnosed with lung cancer. Though at the time I had not been subjected to many traumatic situations similar to this, I thought everything would be ok. That is until about three months later when he passed away. I do not remember how I was feeling or what I did exactly but I know it left a huge hole in my family and heart. Then, about a year later, my aunt had been told she had breast cancer; the doctors gave her a bit of hope, and performed therapy and surgery, hoping for her to eventually be in remission. She was doing great for about a year and then it came back, but this time it was even worse, and then it grew to her brain. At that time she and my mom were closer than I can explain. So, my mom moved in with her, (about 1000 miles from our home) and took care of her. She did this for about five months until we received the phone call that she had passed away. During this emotional roller coaster, my mom’s brother, my uncle Steve, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. The same nightmare all over again. We found out he had cancer, and then two months later he looked like he was 80 years old, but was only 45, and soon after passed away. My mother lost her father and two siblings, our family was falling apart. Then, the worst possible thing that could happen did. My father had been diagnosed with malignant melanoma skin cancer. He has been battling it for a long time and is currently undergoing treatment at the NIH. He is going strong and the doctors say he is in remission. But this is only after about six or seven horrific surgeries, and months of being stapled up, and unable to move. It is so difficult to write this, mainly because it makes me break down every time. But moving on, I have been through a lot and as a result of what I just discussed, as well an emotionally draining high school career have leaded me to have extreme anxiety. And when I say extreme, I mean it. And just to put the icing on the cake, about two weeks ago when I was working at the bank, I got robbed at gun point. This just made my anxiety and feeling of being overwhelmed unable to be controlled. Not to mention I have to testify at once of the court proceedings in two days. I feel like my life is a huge mess, emotionally and literally. I am only 20 but make a decent amount of money, yet have nothing to show for it. You could say I am a shopaholic. Some may laugh, but this is not ok. My room is covered in clothes, my closet and dresser filled. I estimate that I have spent over 11,000 on clothes this past year. It’s gross, but to be honest I do it because it does not cause any stress or any feelings of being overwhelmed, (until I get home and have to money left.) It has gotten to the point that if I am going out for a special event or a night out with friends I will buy a new outfit because I have no clue where and what I have is. This is just the beginning of the problem; I am so unorganized with my everything else. I have no clue where my college stuff is, upcoming deadlines. I get so stressed out when I know I have no clean work clothes to wear, and know that I will have to do laundry, and most of the time I will do one load and leave it in the washing machine and leave. To be honest, I am not sure how I have functioned to attend college. I want am majoring in marketing currently. This leads me to my next problem, school. My anxiety goes crazy at school. I cannot

I work out my anxiety playing video games, but that can lead to more anxiety because it takes up more of my time.
2 books that I found extremely helpful in organizing my life are “10 Natural Laws of Successful Time and Life Management” by Hyrum Smith and “7 Habits of Highly Successful People.” by Stephen Covey.
These books work, but only if you follow them. You don’t need the official day-planners either, generic ones are fine if you follow the principles outlined in the books.

Something very special to get my (sick) mother for Christmas?
Question by MM: Something very special to get my (sick) mother for Christmas?
My mother has battled breast cancer for many years, and it looks like the cancer may be winning after such a long battle. I really want to get my mother something wonderful for Christmas. I got her a rosarie in Ireland earlier this year. She can’t have any sort of spa treatments, so that option is out. She isn’t into pictures, but likes reading… I’m really at a loss here. Any suggestions?

Give her something you made yourself. Hand made gifts mean a lot to people. It shows them you spent a lot of time and effort. One of my all time favorite gifts is a leather covered wooden box my daughter made and gave me for Christmas when she was 14. I cherish that thing.

Question by : If I Had Something Serious, like Lung Cancer, my symptoms wouldn’t go away or get better would it?
Ok, so since I had a scary situation on a flight, I got shortness of breath and I have worried about it since then, cause I have had it since then. Oh BTW, I am 15. I have been worrying that it is lung cancer ( I am a hypacondriac) but these last couple of days, things have been getting better with my breathing. So my question is, if I did have cancer or something like that, my symptoms wouldn’t go away, or get better, right????

I am about to die of terminal cancer. Can you say something to me before I die?
Question by stillturnin: I am about to die of terminal cancer. Can you say something to me before I die?
The expected time for me to die is in 3-4 hours, and I wanted to spend a little of what is left of my time with everyone here on Yahoo! Answers. This is a really helpful site and you guys are great. I have a terminal case of lung cancer, and hospice has came to my house. The doctors say I will die in about 3-4 hours. Before I die, could you please say something to me! Thank you so much! My loved ones will be picking the most memorable thing you say, and choose it as the best answer. They will read it at the funeral. Farwell everyone! I wish you all wonderful lifes!
TO EVERYONE WHO POSTED AND IS ABOUT TO POST, PLEASE READ THIS: This was not real. I am not really going to die. It is not a joke either though. It is an experiment to see how many people would help a person in need at their worst hour, and who would think that it was true. Sorry to everyone. Have a wonderful day!
Death @ 6:47 PM.

Q&A: Is this breathing problem anxiety? a disorder? PMS? something else??
Question by Kitzi K: Is this breathing problem anxiety? a disorder? PMS? something else??
I have problems breathing, i need to take a deep breath every few minutes and its getting worse, its kind of like a ‘sigh’ or a little bit like a yawn, but feels like I can never get enough air. Most of the time I feel like I shudder’ afterwards, almost like when a baby cries and is winding down afterwards and gives the little sobs.
I am feeling like I am suffering anxiety, i was on valium before and feel similar to the time before…. i also am tired, but insomniac, and then have burts of energy and then followed by very little motivation. I’m having relationship issues, money worries and have two small kids, but nothing has changed for the worse there. I also suffer badly from PMT/PMS and cannot seem to get it under control…..
Right now the breathing is worrying me, it may sound like i have a lot on my plate but thats just a part of it, and thats just normal for me – LOL! what do you think? could the breathing be part of the anxiety problem? Or maybe something else??

It could be a part of the anxiety. It’s highly likely, the way you explain it. But you should definitely go get checked out with your general health practitioner doctor. If asthma is ruled out, then you should bring these symptoms up with your psychiatrist or psychologist (I am assuming you’re seeing one). If you are seeing one, are you on any medications? The ‘breathing problems’ could be a side-effect of a medication. Either way, get it checked with a professional, immediately. Breathing is pretty important. *wink*

Answer by Randi J
Speak with an adult who can speak with the doctor. Your grandmother may have told someone that she doesn’t want to know the truth, ever. Stage 4 is pretty bad, but there’s so much you don’t know or are not telling.
I really encourage you to speak with an adult who is authorized to speak to the doctor ASAP!
Good luck. This must be a very painful time for you. As long as your grandma IS alive, show her all the love you can. That also means telling her you love her! Every day.
