Where can find a gal like oklahoma teen mom folk hero Sarah McKinley ?
Question by : Where can find a gal like oklahoma teen mom folk hero Sarah McKinley ?
That girl Sarah McKinley of Oklahoma is totally hot, I’d love to find a tough-as-nails mama grizzly type like her.
Seriously. She looks super cute in her pictures posing with a shotgun right? Especially after she shot that intruder on New Years day to protect her baby and keep from getting raped by drug crazed meth heads. Not only does she look super cute in all her photos, with a pouty mouth and a pretty face too, but she has what looks to be a great body for an 18 year old who just had a baby 3 month ago, and she’s cool, calm and collected in her interviews. What a catch.
Best of all, she’s obviously into older guys, I mean, her husband who passed away from lung cancer on Christmas day was 58 years old, and the news says they had been living together for three years. She’s only just now 18 right? Wow. Dating and marrying a guy who’s 40 years older than her when she’s a teenager. How is that not totally hot?
Please tell me I’m not the only red-blooded American man who finds this girl drop dead sexy?!

A young lady like her with a child and no high school diploma can be found applying for welfare and food stamps. Try going down to the offices where they apply for those.

Q&A: Can you proffread my essay on how the media effects teen body image?
Question by cheergirly: Can you proffread my essay on how the media effects teen body image?
Claire
Some people think that media has nothing to do with teen body image and the way people look at themselves. The thing they don’t realize is teens have eating disorders because of what the media portrays as beautiful. Teens want to be accepted so they don’t act like themselves or look like themselves. Sometimes a teen could start to do drugs and smoke because of how dissatisfied they are with there bodies. The media definitely has an effect on how teens think of themselves and how they handle situations.
The media makes teens think they are not the average weight they are supposed to be because they see the beautiful models and want to look like them so they start to not eat normally which leads to an eating disorder. Eating disorders can harm teen’s body in ways you cannot imagine teens could end up with type 2 diabetes, ruined teeth, ruined esophagus, and become very depressed. Over 54 percent of girls, teens, and women ages 12-23 years are unhappy with their bodies. Approximately 75% of girls as young as nine years old have dieted 2 to 5 times a year. A survey was also taken at a high school and 1/3 of the students thought they were overweight when they were not. Between “5-10 million girls and women and 1 million boys and men are struggling with eating disorders including anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, or borderline condition” Teens can feel like they don’t belong when they see these beautiful models. They look at the models and say “I wish I could be them” I think they just want to get some attention rather than being the same person they are everyday.
Teens are looking for acceptance in the society around them so they look and dress like people they are not. They will mimic the look of celebrities because that is the way the media portrays the way they should dress. Being yourself is more important than anything in the world so why be someone your not. If all you trying to do is climb up the social ladder be yourself doing it, people will like you for who you are not what you pretend to be. Teens don’t act like themselves they might end up doing something they will regret.
Teens have probably seen a model on Americas Next Top Model smoke to get thin or relieve stress. Teenage girls might pick up those habits and use them to get thin. Smoking is a very bad habit hard to break and could damage your lungs and you could get cancer so teens are harmed if they pick up that cigarette because they think it will help them become skinnier. Guys might not think they are tone enough when they pick up a wrestling magazine or watch wrestling on TV so they might start to take steroids to become more muscular. Doing steroids stops the natural hormone production and that is harmful for anyone’s body. If teens thinking smoking and doing drugs will make them look better, they better think again.
Teens treat there body in bad ways because the media says it is beautiful. Today’s teens don’t treat there bodies well because they have abnormal eating behavior, they pretend to be people they are not, and do things they would normally never do. If teens think they are beautiful because the media says they are they are wrong because everyone sees beauty in a different way and they are attracted to different things so who is really deciding these things for our society?
Research Topic: What effect do advertisements, magazines, television, and movies have on teen body image today?

No. Proofreading is a good skill to acquire, but you won’t acquire it by getting someone else to do it for you.
I will give you a hint: Those long paragraphs should be split into two or three shorter ones.

Is this a good miss outstanding teen platform?
Question by Christie D: Is this a good miss outstanding teen platform?
my platform is ovarian cancer awareness. this is my first time in a pagaent ever. im 14 and am competing for miss outstanding teen pagaent and i want to kno if theres any way to make my platform better. heres my platform:
The diagnosis of ovarian cancer for a woman and her family can be demoralizing. Ovarian cancer is the number five killer of women in the United States. Most of these deaths occur because the cancer is not detected until its later stages. Increasing awareness of the early warning signs of this deadly disease will reduce the mortality rates for women.
My family was devastated six years ago when my grandmother was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. That year, nearly 20,000 women were diagnosed with this disease, and almost 15,000 died. We knew little about the symptoms, causes or treatment options. What little information we could find did not provide much encouragement or hope since the disease was already in its advanced stages. The most frustrating part of this disease is that its early warning symptoms are very ordinary and non-specific.
Women need to be educated about the early warning symptoms to increase their chances of survival. Through the Miss America Outstanding Teen program I would like to raise awareness for ovarian cancer. As a leading organization for women throughout the country, I believe that this is the perfect opportunity to promote awareness for this deadly killer. Knowledge is the first step towards saving the lives of thousands of women each year, and saving their families from the heartache I myself have experienced.
Through the Miss America organization, I would also like to partner with the “Ovarian Cancer National Alliance”. Their mission is to “conquer ovarian cancer by uniting individuals and organizations in a national movement”. Since 1982, when the Susan G. Komen Foundation was formed, the survival rate for women diagnosed with breast cancer has increased from 74% to 98%. I would like to see the same statistics for ovarian cancer in the next 25 years.
The state of New Jersey is currently considering making the month of February “Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month”. I would like to see this legislation passed, not only in New Jersey, but across the country. The Miss America Outstanding Teen Program, should I win at the state and national level, would provide me with a voice to bring this issue to the American public.
This issue is one of great importance for women and their families across America. With the help of the Miss America Organization, I hope to raise awareness of ovarian cancer which will lead to early detection and an increased survival rate so that fewer families will be devastated by this dreaded disease.

Q&A: Does Sarah McKinley, teen mom hero of Oklahoma smoke?
Question by : Does Sarah McKinley, teen mom hero of Oklahoma smoke?
The news articles on 18 year old Sarah McKinley of Oklahoma, who shot an intruder in her trailer with a Shotgun on New Years day to defend her baby, says her 58 year old husband had just died from lung cancer on Christmas day.
Guess that means he was not only 40 years older than her, but undoubtedly he was a smoker if he died from lung cancer, right?
So what do you think the chances are that miss McKinley is herself a chainsmoker too? She seems like a tough 3 packs a day kinda gal to me, but the lamestream media doesn’t report on that. Any bets as to whether or not she’s a smoker too, and if so, why hasn’t that been reported too? Fear of ruining her “good girl” clean image?

The Teen SEX Experience – Sexual Intercourse Secrets For the Novice
Teen Sex – I personally am a great believer and in support of those who keep up with the in-crowd because; in today`s society it’s the in thing to do. Following fashion, going to discos/concerts or with friends on holiday are a few to mention of the norm that we as parents expect of our kids to hassle us about. Sadly many children deny themselves of a childhood because of that extra addition to the list of in things to do, i.e. teen sex. Whatever type of sexual encounter is on the cards – one needs to be prepped and prepared regardless of age. Believe it or not even adults make mistakes and you may well be the result of one. This remark is not meant to offend but to help.I am not saying that gathering information about teen sex, makes it right, but if your intentions are in full throttle of going ahead with coupling, then it is important that you are prepped and prepared. Underage sex and unprotected sex come with consequences and not of the nice kind. If a minor (underage) has sexual intercourse it is a criminal offence. Depending on the situation a prison sentence can loom overhead. Not wanting to burst your bubble kids, but teen sex is not the in thing to do; in fact you get more respect from those so called friends of yours for being the sensible one – while they scurry off pushing babies in prams or repeatedly twiddle their thumbs waiting for test results in STD clinic.Figures show, one million teenagers (US) fall pregnant. 175,000 give birth to their first child. The outcome of this sees teen mums denied the chance to complete high school, and less likely to ever wed. It is said that children of teen parents have poor health and their cognitive development is slower. The death rate from pregnancy complications is very high in girls who give birth below 15 than older women. Teens are more likely to be malnourished and suffer premature or prolonged labour. In the first twelve weeks into the pregnancy; seven out of ten pregnant teens do not seek medical attention when at its most critical.Premature babies are common. Low birth weight babies may suffer from underdeveloped organs (brain, lungs, heart). Struggle to maintain body temperature and blood sugar levels along with having mental problems. Increase your chances of having a healthy baby by getting prenatal care. Eat proper foods; your diet can help delivery of a healthy baby. Stop smoking, and refrain from drinking alcohol and never take drugs. An STD is a disease passed from one person to another through unprotected sex involving the mouth, anus, or vagina. Gonorrhea is a rampant STD that happens at the rate of about 600,000 new cases annually in America alone. Gonorrhea is oft times referred to in slang as the “the clap.”Gonorrhea is caused by a particular bacterium called Neisseria, which at a speedy rate spreads through contact of infected parts of the body. Both genders are at risk for developing this condition Unprotected sex is the chief cause of gonorrhea, Regular symptoms of gonorrhea is, it affects the throat and shows sores inside the mouth, fever and aches in some patients. If the vagina is infected, expect a discomforting itch. The cervix becomes irritated and occasionally abnormal bleeding or discharge, and a burning sensation while peeing happens. If you experience symptoms of this nature although no sexual contact has been made, then still talk to the doctor.Treating gonorrhea is normally quite straight forward where antibiotics are prescribed. However if it is left untreated simplicity goes out of the window. Safe sex is best sex, meaning, you can enjoy body unison with out fear of catching a disease or falling pregnant. Safe sex means avoiding casual sex, and to wear a male or female condom.Syphilis is an STD caused by the bacterium (Treponema Pallidum) Syphilis is passed from one person to another through direct contact with a syphilis sore. Sores develop mainly on the outer genitals, vagina, anus, or in the rectum. Syphilis sores can appear on the lips and inside the mouth. Syphilis cannot be caught from loo seats, swimming pools, clothing, or cutlery. The main stage of syphilis normally appears as a single sore (chancre), however they can amass. The period between infection and the beginning of the first symptom can range from ten days up to three months. The chancre may not be a pretty sight and is usually firm to touch, tiny and circular and painless. It shows at the spot where syphilis entered the body. Chancres can last up to six weeks. If left untreated then you have a follow up stage which is a rash with mucous membrane lesions. It is rare for an itch to be present. The characteristic rash of secondary syphilis may appear as rough reddish/brown spots on the palm of the hands and the bottom of the feet. Symptoms of secondary syphilis may have you suffer from fever, swelling of the lymph glands, sore throat, headaches, weight loss, muscle pain, and tiredness. The third stage of the disease can grow in about 15% of people who have not been treated for syphilis, and can appear 10 – 20 years after infection was first caught. This serious stage of the disease can damage internal organs, i.e. the brain, nerves, eyes, heart, blood vessels, liver, bones and body joints. Late syphilis can include muscle movement problems, paralysis, numbness, slow blindness, and dementia. This stage has claimed many lives. However if you initiate safe sex into your exploration of the opposite sex (or same gender) then you have no need to worry. Safe sex is the secret to a fulfilling relationship.

Teen Recalls Bear Attack
Noah Allaire assumed he was dreaming as he was shaken from the jaws of a massive Alaskan grizzly bear. I was just thinking, how is this real? Things like this dont happen to people, Allaire, 16, recounted from his Albuquerque home Tuesday. It was kind of one of those points in your life like, When am I going to wake up? The Highland High graduate had just watched the bear attack two of his friends after the group of hikers apparently startled the bear and her cub in the Talkeetna wilderness 120 miles north of Anchorage on July 23. The bear disappeared for a second and the group thought she was gone, but moments later she came charging back out of the brush with her eye on Allaire, swatting him to the ground with a single swipe before biting. After the attack, Allaire lay on the ground as he looked up at the bear towering 10 feet above him. It reared up and was standing over me on its hind legs. I just closed my eyes and I was like, all right, this is it, he said. But instead, the grizzly ran off again this time for good. The bite left two teeth holes on each side of his chest, puncturing a lung at one spot. Its incredible how large the bears jaw is, he said. Allaire also suffered injuries to his hands and head, needing 18 staples to close the wound from the bears powerful paw. When it was all over, the grizzly had injured four of the seven-man hiking group on a backcountry expedition through the National Outdoor Leadership School. Two were …

Self-Taught Teen Musician Wishes to Have a Violin

The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Central and Northern Florida produced this video about Joe’s wish to have a violin. It was in the sixth grade that Joe’s love for music became his life. He found his grandfather’s violin, loved its melody, and made the violin his instrument of choice. Joe would come home from school and play the violin throughout the evening. At the age of 15, Joe noticed a pain in his arm. The soreness began to hurt more and more. After receiving an X-ray, Joe was diagnosed with a rare and deadly form of bone cancer. Joe embarked on a long road to recovery. It took ten months for him just to hold a pencil. Against enormous odds, Joe returned to playing the violin and, within four months, performed for his family and friends at Carnegie Hall in New York City. Reflecting on being 15 and diagnosed with cancer, Joe says a wish “gives you something to hold onto when you don’t have anything … it gets you through the day.” Learn about wish granting and watch other wish stories at wish.org.
