How do I tell my husband-to-be I have cancer?

I’m going to get married in March, I have a 9 week old baby (my first born), I get paid £20 a day and my husband-to-be gets paid £290 a week, my life is going so smoothly and i’m getting everything I could ever want, but my doctor called me in to look at some scans yesterday.

I looked at the scan of my lung and there was something odd there. My doctor knew I would find it and told me it was a tumor, and he wouldn’t know when it would be suitable to treat it. I have been getting winded at random times of the day also. How do I tell my husband-to-be that I have cancer?

The best thing you can do if you are worried is visit a doctor for a professional opinion, if there is cause for concern they will send you for further tests.
Don’t try and diagnose yourself you might give yourself a lot of worry.

I’ll start by saying I haven’t read the Bible entirely for many years now (which I did at least half-dozen time). I’m Christian and never really went to Church. Only did so when I was in Catholic school 30 years ago!

I also know about many Christians (don’t know what denomination, though) which oppose STEM CELL research or use, etc. But having been doing reading about cancer and finding in two different articles about “pregnancy and natural cancer enzymes” such as TROPHOBLASTS, etc., it suddenly came to my mind:

PREGNANCY means LIFE. And if something taken from the PLACENTA (such as the discoveries made by biologist Beard at the beginning of the 20th Century) can cure cancer, why would it be bad if science takes from the placenta to give life to so many others?

Aren’t all lives precious?

There’s a part in the Bible where God talks about “the fountain of life” regarding women. If God gave this gift to women, not only to give birth but to be able to give life to others….
Wouldn’t it really be EVIL if we didn’t take up this knowledge and these means and put it to better use for humanity?

PLEASE explain how and why I am wrong if you think I am?

To cut a very long story short, at the start of this year I was admitted into hospital after coughing up a litre or so of blood over about three days. After numerous tests – broncoscopy/scans/chest X-rays – they found out the the source of the bleed was a leaky blood vessel set deep in the bottom of my right lung. Until it happens again they cannot be sure whether the problem is specific to that vessel or whether I have a problem that is general to all. If it is the former and it happens again, the treatment is the removal of the part of the lung the problem is in and if it is the former, steroids would be the treatment.

Ok that wasn’t as short as I hoped! But anyway, my problem is that there is obviously a chance I cough have another haemorrhage and I am worried that if I tell any prospective employers this, they will not employ me, for fear that I will be off work – if I need chest surgery, I will be off my feet for months. So am I under any obligation (legal or otherwise) to tell them?

I really need a job and am currently searching, but this is a big worry of mine.

If it isn’t something contagious, which could affect the workplace, you have no moral or legal obligation to tell your employer. Such is the case with women, they don’t have to tell their prospective employer that they are trying to have a baby, and would take Family Medical Leave Act time off to give birth, etc. Same principle.

If you let the prospective employer know; you risk not getting hired. I been in hiring positions before. If I had two candidates or more, all with the same qualifications, I’d look for disqualifiers.

They don’t have to tell you that you weren’t hired for medical reasons, they would be open to a lawsuit, but they can find someone with the same quals, and no issues.

Don’t let the employer know.

OMG I even forget how I had to breathe before :”(

You will get relief by monitoring your water and liquid intakes. You may like to read the following. What helped the IBS boy will help you breath easy. I keep doing the same thing every now and then. I have always (without fail) felt that after 24 hours of no water periods I breath much better and much more deep. There is more than 100% improvement. Though I have no issues with IBS or breathing.

The medical community has no idea what is IBS, what causes IBS. My friends daughter’s diagnosis was IBS. After my friend spent Rs. 50K on various tests, he was told by doctors that she has problem in her mind and he should take his daughter to psychiatric.

Let me try to define the problem and give a solution.

People feel sleepy after they eat in excess or take too much of alcohol or sweets.

What is the reason for feeling sleepy? Again medical community is silent on this as well. But they give medicines for this as well? Should we really allow the doctors to give medicines when they do not know the basic underlying reason????

When a person eats something, it needs to be digested. The digestion process is know to be very energy intensive. When the body falls short of resources to digest the food, it tires out and sleeps. This shuts down the operations of the body except heart, kidney and other essential functions / organs.

When a person indulges into eating, drinking sessions which does not create enough energy resources, he becomes weak. After this whatever he eats is simply passed out immediately.

Over past 5-6 years I carried out various hit and trial experiments on IBS. I got success when I tried the following on a 19 year old boy.

This boy weighed 43kg, 5ft 8 inches height, total body water was 68%, muscles less then 5%.

I asked him to drink one glass of water 1 hour before each meal. Next day he told me that he got complete relief. But after 3 days he said his condition has gone back to old status.

Now I asked him to give up water and all liquids for 48 hours. The results shocked me. He was completely cured of the following –

IBS and mouth ulcers in 48 hours. Pain in legs after 6-8 months. I followed up with this person for next 15 months. There were 3 instances of IBS lasting 1-2 days on 3 occassions. The solution was change in water drinking habits. When he was on low water intake, he was advised to drink more water for 2-3 days. When he was on higher water intake he was advised to cut down on water intake.

It gave him complete relief.

I applied the same solution on 2 more person of 18-20 years of age. It worked simply by cutting down on water intake.

Now if you decided to try it the next problem is that one who is used to drinking water or other liquids and feel thirsty quite often.

First thing in the morning drink tea (on empty stomach). One should not take anything with tea. Tea on empty stomach leaves a bitter taste in mouth. Resist drinking water or any other liquid for next 3-4 hours. After this the bitter taste will be gone. AFter this there will be no thirst signals. For the next 48 hours there will be enough fluid in your mouth and food pipe. You can eat your normal meals minus any liquids for next 24 hours.

After having gone thru the above process go without water and liquids again after 2-3 days without taking tea first thing in the morning.

If the above does not give complete relief. Add salt to the water the next day after going without water. 3 grams of salt with 1 glass of water. 4-5 times in a day. Salt is a purifier and it will resolve the problems better. You will have to continue drinking water 1 hour before meal.

How can i tell if i have Lung Cancer or not?

I haven’t smoked in a year or two, and when i did it wasn’t very often. Less then 100 times all together. I don’t have asthma i don’t think. Any way back to more detail… My mouth seems like its dry a lot. And often when i don’t brush my teeth and tongue i get this yellowish whitish stuff on my tongue. I can brush it off if i brush hardish though..I looked online and apparently that could be a symptom of lung cancer. In the way back of my tongue i have like 2 or three large things.. They look like normal taste buds, just bigger. like if six or so of them were one. What should i do? Do i have lung cancer?

My Dad and my brother John just left from visiting from Arkansas. My brother is a cancer survivor; still dealing with the damage of 42 radiation treatments and chemo on his lungs, throat and other upper body areas. Was good to see him and hey, he’s still a handsome guy no matter what. He’s my brother, I love him no matter what.

But while they were here, Dad had a talk with both John and myself and told us he has been diagnosed with level 7 prostate cancer himself.

So my question is, how does the scale of levels in cancer translate with regard to severity, and age with this type of cancer in a 79 year old male at level 7?

Just so I can educate myself here……

THe “source” below was one I went to to learn about prostate cancer when my father was diagnosed. I found their information very helpful.

With a mom and dad who are survivors of cancer, two sisters who didn’t survive and a brother-in-law currently in treatment, I understand what you mean about it being everywhere!

Im part of a mental health program and live in a board and care, due to loosing my career. Im 28 years old. I tried therapy but quit in may because I just couldnt communicate.

This year living here ive seen 2 people die that id grown close too, one of lung cancer, the other starved himself by throwing up all the time until he looked like a pow….he finally threw up blood infront of me and was rushed to the er where he died.

Seeing this leaves me feeling old and I worry about looking so thin like they did that I gorge myself on junk food….on the other hand I sometimes dont.eat that good for days cause being in the dining room where they where makes me nauseas and gorging makes me reassure myself im not sick like they were.

As a result im having bowl problems..crying alot…anger…greif…but I dont know how to share this

Is it the CT scan or a biopsy? I’ve tried emailing this question to a few law firms with no results. In October 1998 a company hosed me and my crew down and then threw the clothes we were wearing into an asbestos dump because they were contaminated. The doctor I’m stuck with is a pill pushing quack who I have had to lose my temper with in order to get him to shut up and listen. Needless to say this doctor does not give a damn because I have no insurance and am depending on a county health care system. Personally I think it is pretty messed up that the US Government will provide first rate health care to detainees at Guantanamo Bay, but not someone that has contributed to the economy of the USA!!!

Will someone tell me the name of this Japanese movie?

I was on a JAL flight from Tokyo to New York last Saturday and watched a really great Japanese movie.

It’s about a man who finds out he is terminally ill with lung cancer and refuses treatment to live the rest of his days to the fullest. He goes and reunites with people he hasn’t seen in awhile.. All the while dealing with his affair, wife and two kids.

Anyhow, it was a great movie and you learn a lot from it. A great insight into the Japanese culture..

I just I knew what the title was so I can rent it to show my friends.
