There are so many different types of cancers. Cancer could happen anywhere in the body. I heard that some cancers is worse than others. I heard that blood cancer is one of the worst. Which cancer is most deadly?

Really any cancer that has been in the body growing for a long time is the worst. It has a bigger chance of spreading to the bones. That is why early detection of any cancer can save a life.
It is bad when it gets in the bones. If a cancer is malignant( which means it can spread), that is bad, because if it is removed it can still grow back. Also, it can spread to another part of the body.
Leukemia and lymphoma are blood cancers. They are both survivable. 5.What are the statistics for the survival of leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma?
Survival is measured in several ways so it is important to define each measure. The survival statistics are often presented as five-year survival, that is, the percentage of people who survive five years from the date of diagnosis. The five-year survival rates for the blood cancers (for all age groups) are: leukemia 50%; Hodgkin lymphoma 86%; non-Hodgkin lymphoma 64% and myeloma 34%. Leukemia rates by type of disease(for all age groups)are: ALL 65.3%; CLL 74.8%; AML 20.7% and CML is 44.4%. These figures differ for children ages 0-19 and people over 75.

ok, now that i understand the vital signs, what diseases and disabilities do they work with? they work with the respiratory, neuro, and digestive, but ive heard that they must know about ALL body systems, even cardiovascular!! could somebody list ALL of the conditions that theymust deal with (not just stutter, cleft, and stroke…)? do they work with all types of diseases sometimes (like resirator/icu and post operative)?
p.s. I AM TALKING ABOUT IN A HOSPITAL!! NOT A SCHOOL! just to clear that up…

They work with any patients with temporary or permanent problems. This could be from any type of car accident, brain injury, loss of oxygen, throat or mouth surgery and more. Any person who has trouble breathing, swallowinng, speaking, eating, or drinking can have a speech pathologist on their medical team. Infants with sucking or breathing problems, people with cerebral palsy and more.

There is no “test for all cancers”, but a high white blood count with no other logical symptoms might make a doctor curious about a possible cancer as a cause…

Just finished chemo for bowel cancer. At the moment I’m free of the disease, but won’t get the all clear for another 5 years.
What are my chances of contracting any other type of cancer? Are they raised, or is it the same as before?

You don’t have to have bowel cancer to answer this. My sister was celebrating 5 yrs of being breast cancer free when she was struck down again with illness. She went to the Oncologist right away and that’s when she was diagnosed with brain cancer. When the tumor was removed, it showed breast cancer cells. So, if you’ve had cancer. there’s always a change one cell escaped treatments. Many never return, but the facts are that some do in other places. I’m even at risk. I won’t be 2 yrs until Nov. ;So even though I’m considered cancer free, I’ll believe when I DON’T see it.

I’m currently planning out a story to write and I need informtion about either heart or other types of cancer. You see, the seventeen year old girl in the story, who is the main character, is planned to be dying from cancer and is supposed to have a year left to live. The problem is, I haven’t a clue WHICH cancer to use. I wanted the cancer to not show any physical signs of it being there at all until the last months or so. I had wanted it to be from heart cancer, but I’m not sure since the details of it are hard to understand. (I’m 14 by the way) Maybe another cancer would work but I need help. But dose the author of the book you are reading want three different places where cancer can grow, or three types of cancer that can attack places in the body?
In other words, are the looking for an answer line Brain Cancer, Liver Cancer, Lung Cancer or are they looking for an answer like carcinoma cancer, leukemia, lymphoma and Sarcoma?
In areas where there is a lot of Cesium in the ground water, cancer is very rare. It is also well known that Cesium will prevent cancer cells from reproducing, due to it’s very alkaline environment.

you can get any types of cancer any age and the treatments theres lots of them thres radiation, chemotherapy, and you have to go at least 5yrs with out having any cancer in ur body and if u go all 5yrs ur cancer free:)

If her cancer has spread that far there is really nothing more you can do but try to keep her as comfortable as possible and let her live her last days to the fullest. If she is signed on with hospice yet I would suggest you call them today and talk to them. They are great at helping with all aspects of end stage life things.

Hands down . . sarcoma . . almost no one has ever heard of sarcoma which is a type of cancer that affects the muscles, bones, joints, tendons, cartiliage, blood vessels and soft tissue within the body. It is a cancer than has been mostly ignored in the last forty to fifty years and yet it is a cancer that predominately strikes our youngest . .children, adolescents and young adults. Currently there are over 50-60 subtypes of sarcoma . . and almost all of them are aggressive and deadly. There has not been new treatment found for sarcoma in the last thirty years. Some of the subtypes are the most common found in childhood cancers and account for the high rate of deaths to cancer in children, adolescents, and young adults.
Sarcoma: A Forgotten Cancer
Among the subtypes of sarcoma are Rhabdomyosarcoma, Ewings sarcoma, Osteosarcoma, Liposarcoma, Fibrosarcoma, Synovial sarcoma, GIST, DSRCT, Angiosarcomas, Leiomyosarcoma, Uterine sarcoma, Epithelioid sarcoma, Alveolar soft part sarcoma, and Hemangiosarcoma . . . there are many others. Sarcoma can appear in any part of the body . . including bone or soft tissue.
It can strike any age group although the young are more commonly affected. Sarcoma can happen to both sexes, although males seem to get some subtypes almost 4 to 1. Sarcoma is a nasty disease. In most cases . . there are no known causes for sarcoma.

I have extensive medical problems i.e. APS, DVT, left adrenal adenoma(3.5cm), cervical dysplasia CINIII in 2009-complete adominal hysterectomy to name a few.I had elevated WBC for 10 years. Recently they run blood tests and shows abnormalities. Neurologist says I have chorea and recommended I see a hematologist/oncologist. Seen him, ran tests and ruled out leukemia, said I have DVT and put me on Warfarin which is monitored. Then sent me down to cancer center to get a Vitamin K injection. I remember my mom getting this and the same center where she went although the hematologist/oncologist assures me I do not have cancer. Then why I am going there?
It seems they are evasive when I ask questions. I want to know.

You have clots in your legs because you’re not drinking enough fluids or your blood is too thick due to some clotting issue.
No you cannot get cancer from a DVT.
Vit K is a blook clotting element.

My skin is super oily, I’m a stress case and I don’t eat as healthy as I should. (my skin does dry out a little bit in winter)
I drink gallons of water every day.
I have old acne scars & current adult acne. My acne is not as bad as some–but enough to bother me. The scars are pretty bad.
My skin tone is very uneven. To add to it all, my birth control pills caused a tan line on my upper lip.
I wear make-up about 3 times a year and wash about 2x daily with either cetephil or phyosderm. I’ve been applying Clean & Clear spot treatment all over.
In the summer, I sweat gallons at my job–though I do wipe down my face with plain cold water now & then throughout the day. Don’t sweat so much in the winter!
With my skin type, what is the best you have tried to help fade acne scars?
What is the best product to keep current acne under control?
TYPE OF ACNE–white heads on chin, at corners of mouth. Regular breakouts of normal zits with occasional monster size zits that take about 3 wks or more to go away. These Godzilla zits are fairly new with me–they don’t develop a head or ozze anything–they just sit there, big, red, and sore feeling.
I cannot afford to go to a dermatologist although if an expensive product is recommened, I might be able to get that at Christmas time.
I’m open to home remedies, however I doubt my diet will change much. I do indulge in fruit often and take Calcium, D, B complex & C
(I stopped taking vitamin E because I heard it could speed up lung cancer in smokers–yep I’m a smoker too. No good for the skin; been trying to quit for the past month)
I’m not looking for “I have heard” or “look into this”
What have you tried yourself that works–or what has a friend tried that you have seen works?
I cannot afford to waste time & money on experimenting
I really would appreciate any feedback about products/home remedies that are tried & true
have I steamed my face? I work at a dry cleaners so I get daily facial steams! ha ha
Also, if a home remedy is recommended that invloves making pastes, squeezing fruits–I probably wouldn’t do that. I’m too lazy to make magic potion daily. 
Easier to grab a bottle/jar out of bathroom cupboard

My boyfriend told me this, though I can’t say if that’s true or not. He said he read it from somewhere. That’s why I’m asking, because I don’t think that’s true. I think it’s rare, isn’t it? It shouldn’t really matter when you have kids of what age.
I just need different opinions. Really, what is cervical cancer caused from?

Its false. Cervical Cancer is caused from different strains of the HPV virus. There are many strains and there is a vaccine for some strains of it, but not all of them.
