Am I going to die? Is fine dust work envirnment safe with P100 particle mask?
Question by Jim J: Am I going to die? Is fine dust work envirnment safe with P100 particle mask?
I work in a soapstone factory of sorts. During the summer months, we had both end doors open with fans running, now that it is cooler, the doors are closed. The dust produced is VERY intense. It is fine, like baby poweder and we produce so much that you can’t even see 5 feet in front of you from the cloud of constant dust. We use a double filter p-100 m3 particulate mask. The dust being produced has been known to cause lung cancer and disease, so obviously I don’t want to breathe it! Will this type of mask keep all particles out? It seems to, as it molds to your face and fis tight and has two filters, but I have to be sure. Thanks

read the warning label on the box it comes in or call a number and ask for help on it if it has a number on it. or you could search the company making it on the internet and find info on it. if you still aren’t sure, ever thought of a new job?

Q&A: Why would many employees sue their work place if what they are claiming isn’t true?
Question by One of a few left: Why would many employees sue their work place if what they are claiming isn’t true?
A place I used to work is being sued, for mold, mildew, asbestos, and numerous other toxicins, in the walls and air of the building according to more than 15 employees…the management there says that these substances are not in the building…but a toxocologist came in and found these substances…the building is still open for more people to work in, and thousands of people come in and out of it a day…
I worked here half a year, before I lost my job…When I worked here I noticed foul smells in the hallways where I was walking…also some hazards where people could trip and fall, and the management doesn’t do much about it, just looked the other way.
I haven’t gotten sick from working here from what I’ve seen, but some of my friends says I should have my lungs checked out to see if those toxicins have made their way in my body…right now it looks like a million dollar lawsuit…with many claiming their respiratory and pulmonary organs will be affected for life with them needing long term care for life…
If you have more than 15 people suing about this, do you think that they’d all be telling the truth
well that is what one person noted…that it could be millions of dollars…may not be…
Best answer:
Answer by David S
They may be telling the truth as they understand it, but they may not be correct about either the presence of toxins, the type or amount of toxins they have been exposed to, or the health affects of the alleged toxins. Proving that the toxins are present will be the burden of the plaintiffs, and just the first hurdle they must jump. It will challenged by defense attorneys, who will present their own expert witnesses in the field of toxicology. They must also show by a preponderance of the evidence that the alleged toxins have damaged their health, another difficult hurdle. They will have to provide medical experts as witnesses who will back up their claims of respiratory and pulmonary damage and the need for lifetime care. All of us hope that legitimate claims are revealed and made right, but it’s difficult to prove and expensive to attempt.

What rife machines work the best to treat or cure cancer?
Question by Josh: What rife machines work the best to treat or cure cancer?
Royal Raymond Rife invented the rife machine back in the 1930s. His mistake was he did not publish his research very well. A rife machine uses amplified sound at specific frequencies to destroy viruses and things like tumors. Several machines exist, including the gb4000 www.rifevideos.com is a good source for info rifeforums.com and also type rife machine into google for more info.

Answer by James S
I was asking the same question not too long ago, from the replies that i got of yahoo answers, one of the recommended machines was the cavitat resonator {rife machine} which I have been unable to locate/purchase one. I think that they are no longer on the market.
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AqV6kmXRVp2owRWX7hEiWoXty6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20080428103418AAHfeQ9
The PERL by Resonant Light Technology is also good, there is some good testimonies on that. I would suggest however, that you like me, are still trying to find information out about this elusive technology, to go to the Rife Conference in Germany, its all stated on the Rifeforum.com, you will meet people there with more experience with different machines ect.
My naturopathic doctor swears by the Pearl, but he has stopped treating cancer patients since he was making claims of a ‘cure’ and that got him into trouble with the authorities.
Oncotherm is a good machine, although you will not be able to afford thi as the price tag is high, it is used by hospitals and clinics in Europe, you can find your local clinic that has the machine, and attend some Rife Sessions. It has been proven clinicals/scientifically to reduce tumor size, in peer-reviewed journals, including the British Lancet
But you really want a machine of your own, as you will need so many sessions, that it would be unaffordable to pay for each session.
As you have already stated, the GB4000 is also a winner, and one of the best and economically priced machines out there.
I would highly reccommend you do not rely on Rife technology alone, not because it does not work, but becuase since the technology was supressed {you know the story}, alot of the info about Rife has been lost, people are still trying o figure out how his microscope and more importantly the original Rife Machine worked
Having said that, look under Rife History on the Rifeforum.com there is a pdf file there with lots of new info of how the original rife machines worked, updated less than a month ago.
Wherewas I, yea, you should try other things like:
Laetrile/enzyme therapy
Gerson Therapy
Supplements -to boost the immune system, like 1-2g of vitamin C, Sutherlandia {used in S. Africa for HIV in hospices, with remarkable success rate, source BBC Herbs Documentary, also on BBC News website}.
Personalised Hyperimmune milk – watch ‘Jerry Brunetti’s’ Food as Medicine videos on google video or youtube, and if you want more info than watch the Personal odyssey by the same guy, its available from p2p torrents websites.
Also the Moss Reports, you must look into this. It is a report that you have to pay for, but worth it from what i have heard, that scientifially evaluates alt. medicine treatments.
Hope this helps
===========Note to Skeptics==========
Oncotherm has clincial trials, look in the lancet and on there wesbtie to verfiy. As any good scientist would do, before they comment. Why do you push people away from something that may help them, due to your limited opinion and research in an area you have no-little knowledge of.

Q&A: Is this how Cuba treats people who work to improve their country?
Question by : Is this how Cuba treats people who work to improve their country?
By Andrea Mitchell, NBC News correspondent
A U.S. government contractor sentenced to 15 years prison in Cuba contacted NBC’s Andrea Mitchell on Friday, reaching out from prison in Havana to plead for help.
“Get me the hell out of here,” Brian Gross told Mitchell, she reported on NBC News with Brian Williams.
The Maryland native, who has served two and a half years, was convicted of crimes against the state for bringing satellite and other communications equipment onto the island as part of a USAID-funded democracy-building program. Cuba considers such programs an attempt to destabilize the government.

Gross has been pleading for parole to visit his 90-year-old mother before she dies of lung cancer.

What other types of chemotherapy will work?
Question by j_darpino: What other types of chemotherapy will work?
My mom was diagnosed with metastic transitional cell carcinoma. She was given cisplatin and gemzar from April until September. While it brought the cancer volume down, the cancer is progressing. I need to know if anyone has any other idea of any chemotherapy that can work.
Best answer:
Answer by Spreedog
There are other chemotherapy regimens that can be tried for metastatic transitional cell bladder cancers (if that is where your mom’s primary tumor was found). Since she has been treated with cis-platinum and Gemzar, she must be under the care of an oncologist. That person – who has full knowledge of your mom’s case – should be explaining alternatives. If you are not satisfied with the answers, you and your mom could certainly get another opinion. But cures with any of the many possible chemotherapy regimens are not likely in this situation.

Q&A: Does the Israeli M15 Civilian Gas Mask really work?
Question by : Does the Israeli M15 Civilian Gas Mask really work?
Hi. Recently bought this item on Amazon. I bought it just to have it in case and also for Halloween. It looks sick, fits great with its adjustable straps and makes a GREAT seal. Anyway, it came with a green 40mm Nato Filter. It SAID in the product description that it would provide NBC protection. Although I doubt this. My questions for anyone who has this or knows about it:
1. Does the NATO filter it came with REALLY provide NBC protection?
2. How long would the filter last?
3. Once opened, can it be resealed and bagged to preserve it?
4. If not to the above Q’s, wheres a good (40mm) filter I can get that is (Obviously) compatible with this mask?
5.It came with a drinking tube, how is that safe? The gas would go in the tube and to your mouth/nose.
***6. Since it was made in the 80′s, is the mask or filter made with any harmful chemicals or substances like asbestos?***
Thanks guys! I appreciate any advice/input. I’ll provide the link to it below.

Have him check with his employer to see if he has short term disability insurance. This is designed to replace income in just such a situation. Since it’s something most people don’t think about, they’re often not aware that they have it. Otherwise, his only choice may be unemployment insurance and possibly food stamps.

How well does radation work on non-small cancer of the lung?
Question by chillitroutman: How well does radation work on non-small cancer of the lung?
No spreading anywhere else. We plan to take 6 weeks of radation plus a 3 hit round of chemo. Any thoughts? The goal is to shrink the tumor enough to remove only one lobe of the lung. We have tried 3 hits of chemo with no response.

Question by I Love Pie: Should I intervene if the guy I work with keeps getting harassed by my work mates because he is asian?
They throw rocks at him, call him Jackie Chan and push him around. One time he was working round allot of dust and one of my work mates pretended it was asbestos and that he would die and he started panicking until l told him it’s just dust. I noticed there were tears coming from his eyes even though he tried not to show it. He reported to the manager about the bullying but my work colleagues still harass him and he does not want to report them to the manager again because he is too afraid to lose his job.

No one knows why one person develops cancer while another does not. It can happen to anyone irregardless of environmental factors.
My son was a healthy, athletic Junior in high school . . never been sick at all . . never exposed to anything carcinogenic (we live in a pristine area beside the ocean) . . no factories, no pollution . . no chemical plants or radiation . . the biggest industry is fishing or tourism. There is no history of cancer in the family, and no sarcoma. We do not live near power lines. He never used a cell phone. He played all sports and did well in school. Has plenty of friends. Never drank or smoked or tried drugs.
My son developed a rare, very aggressive soft tissue abdominal sarcoma called desmoplastic small round cell tumor . . stage IV. No one else in the whole area has ever had a sarcoma. There are no clusters.
The only clue that we have for a ’cause’ lies in the human body. There are approximately 200 patients worldwide with this disease and 3 out of 4 are young males. This type of soft tissue sarcoma (as well as osteosarcoma) predominately strikes boys during a growth spurt. This is indicative of an internal problem with hormones (testosterone for males). Nothing is conclusive, but that seems to be some type of factor with this soft tissue sarcoma. Thyroid problems also seem common among sarcoma patients indicating an internal problem as a cause.
The Patient that you refer to could develop soft tissue sarcoma as readily as anyone else . . with no known cause whatsoever.
Unfortunately, there are no easy answers and you may never know the real ’cause’.

But here’s the real problem: fitting.
I work in an area where I have to wear a mask and I had to go in for some training so I put the mask on properly and it fit as well as it could.
If you do not get that mask with a tight, proper fit, you are dead.
The bigger question is why you need one in your life or work or part of your life (I sometimes have to deal with noxious chemicals). Admittedly, my mask is for fumes and nothing as pernicious as lethal gas, but still, I question the safety of it as well.

Answer by 07_Shelby_GT500
Get yourself to a doctor. A one time exposure probably isnt’ a problem; the people who developed conditions like asbestosis and mesothelioma were exposed to asbestos over the course of months and years. If nothing else, the doctor will want to begin a program of monitoring your respiratory system for signs of damage resulting from your exposure.
On the other hand, if you were exposed to a cloud of asbestos dust and didn’t have protection (like a respirator specifically approved for work with asbestos (most off the shelf respirators are not approved for this)) there was definitely negligence on the part of someone, either your employer or the contractor brought on to handle the abatement work. You should talk to a lawyer as well.
